Juicy J does more than stay trippy. The Three 6 Mafia co-founder stays busy. The Memphis rapper-producer’s forthcoming Stay Trippy album has an extensive and ever-expanding list of potential guests, including Justin Timberlake, Pimp C, A$AP Rocky and Chris Brown, among others.

When it comes to selecting the songs and the guests on his material, Juicy J just likes to make music and then figure out what to do with it. “I got over 75 songs recorded, so I just recorded a bunch of songs with a lot of different people,” he says during an interview with That Life with Carissa Rossi. “It wasn’t like this person had to be on this one or that person had to be on that one. I was just doing songs. I would go in the studio and say, ‘Let’s do a song.’ Sometimes I release stuff on the Internet. Sometimes I may save it for an album. It was just done. [I’m at] 75 records right now.”

One of those 75 songs was Juicy’s gold single “Bands A Make Her Dance,” which may have helped pave the way for the success of Rihanna’s similar-sounding “Pour It Up.” Juicy told Rossi that he and Rihanna may be doing a video for the remix of Rihanna’s “Pour It Up” and that the Taylor Gang album will come out after Stay Trippy, which was slated for a July 2 release but may be pushed back as his single “Show Out” with Big Sean and Young Jeezy gains traction.

Regardless of when his album comes out, the veteran artist won’t stop making new material. “I stay workin’,” Juicy J says.
