There are many who have fond memories of Chris Kelly but few were as connected to the late Kris Kross rapper as Da Brat was.

Da Brat’s career could be heavily attributed to Kelly as she met him at a local rap concert, a prize for winning the a competition sponsored by Yo! MTV Raps. That in turn led her to Jermaine Dupri and thus a successful rap career was born.

The former So So Def artist recently spoke with HipHop Enquirer about her fallen friend as she remembers his legacy and contribution to her career.
