Roc Nation Sports has not wasted any time making a splash in the world of athlete management. According to HipHopSince1987, Jay-Z has signed women’s college basketball sensation Skylar Diggins to his sports management company.
Diggins’ gained national acclaim during her impressive run leading the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to the NCAA Women’s Final Four this year. The WNBA’s Tulsa Shock selected the 5’10’’ point guard third overall in the 2013 draft. The two-time Big East Player Of The Year is not only considered one of the best women basketball prospects, but is believed to posses the talent and star power needed to increase the popularity of the fledgling league.
Diggin’s signing follows the recent announcement that Jay-Z relinquished his ownership stake in the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets as well as signed New York Yankees Second Baseman Robinson Canoe to Roc Nation Sports. According to the New York Post, Hov would like to be “involved in the marketing and branding” of potential NHL #1 draft pick, Seth Jones.
