Harlem rapper A$AP Rocky took a brief break from Rihanna’s “Diamonds World Tour” this week to head to Toronto to appear in the accompanying visuals to his “We Them Niggas” collaboration with Canadian wordsmith P. Reign.

Billboard.com was recently able to chop it up with both P. Reign and his fashion-forward “We Them Niggas” collaborator, the latter of which spoke on the direction of their music video.

“The direction of the video is to take the lifestyles of Canada and New York and interpret it on camera,” Rocky explained. “It’s just easy to work with motherfuckers who know you creatively and believe in your shit. That’s why this shit just goes together perfectly, because motherfuckers ain’t afraid to take risks.”

On top of A$AP Rocky, P. Reign has also worked with the likes of French Montana, Waka Flocka Flame and Drake, all of which will appear on his upcoming mixtape Dear America.

“You can expect versatility,” said P. Reign when asked about the project. “The music I make is easy to relate to no matter where you’re from. I think it has something for everybody.”

Though it remains without a set release date, Dear America is expected to be released sometime this year.
