It’s Cash Money/Young Money domination this week as Lil Wayne tops the HipHopDX singles with the 2 Chainz-assisted “Rich as Fuck.” The T-Minus produced single will have a video shortly, and will be featured on Wayne’s I Am Not A Human Being II. Drake’s “5 AM in Toronto,” the Boi-1da-produced song that topped the list last week, is three spots down the list. One spot below it is Birdman’s “Tapout,” which features Future, as well as other YMCMB standouts Nicki Minaj, Mack Maine, and Lil Wayne.
Hit-Boy Gets A Major Assist On “Cypher”
Hit-Boy comes in second this week with his tremendous (and appropriately-titled) posse cut “Cypher,” which features Kent M$ney, Audio Push, B Mac The Queen, ScHoolboy Q, Casey Veggies, Xzibit, Rick Ross, Method Man, Redman & Raekwon. The track is featured on Hit-Boy’s Hit-Boy Presents HS87 All I’ve Ever Dreamed Of. The album is available for stream on MySpace. Listen to the track here.
Obie Trice Pays Tribute To The Notorious B.I.G. On “Pocket Full”
Obie Trice has never shied away from his fandom of The Notorious B.I.G., once revealing in the song “Follow My Life” that he got pulled over by police while listening to “Big Poppa.” So it’s no surprise that Trice decided to pay homage to the late Notorious One shortly after the anniversary of the Brooklyn, New York rapper’s death: “How could I be racist, I love green bills with white faces / Affordin’ them nice places, takin’ pictures on retreats, pictures on the beach / Exotictic eats, lounging in venice, aquatic streets.” Listen to the track here.
