Maybach Music Group’s Meek Mill and Wale have hinted at recording a collaborative mixtape to release this summer.

While on the red carpet at the 2013 Grammy Awards, the rappers spoke with VIBE about the potential project, playing coy but suggesting that the tape would arrive at the end of summer.

“Y’all might get that this summer, too,” hinted Meek Mill. Wale added, “Y’all just might get that this summer. Whole back to school, style. We know what that’s going to do for the East coast.”

Wale, who is allegedly teaming up with Jerry Seinfeld for The Album About Nothing, gave a status update on his third solo LP. He said that he’s been busy in the studio and was about to collaborate with No I.D. “We’ve been recording. I’m about to get it in for a couple of days with No I.D.,” he said. “I’m working on the album. We goin’ in, we do what we gotta do.”

Meek recently announced his Dreamchasers 3 mixtape, which he says will most likely be released in April. “I’m about 40 percent done. I think we’re going to drop around April,” he said, stating that he’s not working with many new producers for the tape. “Not really as of now, I think it’s the same guys I’ve always been working with.”

Wale most recently dropped his Folarin mixtape, while Meek unleashed his debut album Dreams & Nightmares that bowed at No. 2 with 167,000 copies sold.
