Soul Temple Records has announced the release of its upcoming compilation The RZA Presents Shaolin Soul Selection: Volume 1, releasing on March 19th.

The project sees the Wu-Tang Clan swordsman curating a playlist of tracks from the Stax Records vaults. Artists included on the release include Isaac Hayes, The Dramatics, The Emotions, The Soul Children, Booker T and the MGs, Albert King and many more.

Soul Temple Records has released a nine-minute preview of the project mixed by DJ 7L that can be streamed below and downloaded at Bandcamp. There are several pre-order packages available including a three-LP vinyl set with a Soul Temple t-shirt, a two-CD set with a t-shirt, a three-LP vinyl set and a two-CD set.

RZA last curated the soundtrack for his directorial debut The Man With the Iron Fists, enlisting Kanye West, Ghostface Killah, The Black Keys, Pusha T and more for the album.
