Frank Ocean has been nominated for a GLAAD Media Award.
The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation has honored the Odd Future singer with a nod for Outstanding Music Artist for his debut Channel Orange. He is up against Adam Lambert’s Trespassing, Rufus Wainwright’s Out of the Game, Scissor Sisters’ Magic Hour and Gossip’s A Joyful Noise.
The awards are given to “recognize and honor media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and the issues that affect their lives.”
Ocean previously discussed his sexuality in an open letter released during the early morning hours of July 4, 2012.
