Kendrick Lamar caused a stir with the release of his video for the Hit-Boy-produced “Backseat Freestyle,” a cut off his major label debut good kid, m.A.A.d city. In the clip, he includes an interlude where his father recreates the infamous Domino’s sketch from the album and features a “nice clone of Sherane,” he said in an interview with Fuse.

In a clip that can be viewed below, K. Dot touched on his pops appearing in the clip, stating that he wanted to throw off viewers by including something they didn’t expect.

“He crazy. Hell, he think he somebody,” he said with a laugh. “I just really wanted to give them something they didn’t really expect, as far as what single I was going to drop or what video I was going to drop. It’s really no rules to me. I go off feeling, I just felt like doing that particular song.”
