Much like Freddie Gibbs before him, Scrilla has departed from Young Jeezy’s CTE imprint.
After only a year-and-a-half on CTE, the two parties had apparently decided to part ways.
Scrilla took to Twitter to make the announcement, indicating that the split was amicable.
With the announcement came a track actually featuring Jeezy, as well as Richie Cap 1 (spotted at DGB via HHNM):

I have to agree with Who? It’s obvious that Jeezy isn’t migrating CTE members to Atlantic Records due to his VP of A & R job, so if you haven’t “got it popping” yet, best to sever ties and start anew.

It’s not a mainstream issue. I listen to a lot of non commercial rap and still haven’t heard of dude. I bet I can list artists that I listen to that you aint’even heard of. But that doesn’t give me a right to start claiming that all you listen to is mainstream rap. Assumptions are just that.

Jeezy seems to be terrible at running his own label. I’m not sure why he even got that job at Atlantic. He has not produced one succesful artist, jeezy is only good at promoting jeezy. One thing you can say about ross…is that he puts his artist out there whether you like them or not…he makes sure they are visible. jeezy never present freddie gibbs the way he should have.

Jeezy didn’t kick anybody off, of course he’s gonna say that shit because his enemy Ross is having success with his label and this shit is making him look like he doesn’t have a clue about running a label, making CTE just another one of the million groups of rappers/crews that call themselves a label. Gibbs left because he realizes Jeezy is too busy focusing on himself to handle the shit that the boss of a label is supposed to take care of for his artists, I’m assuming Scrilla did it for the same reason, Jeezy must have not known that there’s more to running a label than throwing a feature here and there to your artists. I was happy as hell when Gibbs left, musically that just didn’t make sense, I think he made the choice to join CTE initially based on Jeezy just being a real dude, but being a real dude doesn’t mean you got your business straight. People can hit Rozay with all the “he’s wack” and “he was a C.O.” shit all they want, I don’t like him as an artist either but the man is obviously about his business and knows how to take care of his team.
