Last month, Chief Keef made national news headlines when he took to Twitter to mock the murder of fellow Chicago rapper Lil Jojo. Now, in a recent report from the Chicago Tribune, police are investigating whether the shooting is linked to other recent murders.
Police are investigating whether the 18-year-old Jojo’s murder is linked to a number of other murders in the city. According to the report, the deaths of Jojo and at least two others may be linked to gang violence between warring factions of the Gangster’s Disciples and the Black Disciples.
Police indicate that the murders of 26-year-old Keith Bonds and 25-year-old Larry Porter may be related to the death of Jojo. Bonds was reportedly affiliated with the Black Disciples – the same set which Chief Keef is affiliated with – and was seen in a video mocking the murder of Jojo, an affiliate of the Gangster’s Disciples. Porter, on the other hand, was shot in a drive-by shooting possibly stemming from the gang conflict.
Chief Keef is reportedly still being investigated for any connection to the death of Jojo. DX will keep you updated.
