With The Man with the Iron Fists a few short weeks away from its theatrical release, it looks like new-found director RZA has his next Hollywood gig lined up. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Ruler Zig-Zag-Zag Allah has been tapped to adapt the comic book Happy! for the big screen.

According to the report, the Abbot has teamed up with Djano Unchained producer Reginald Hudlin and Happy!‘s author Grant Morrison to bring the comic to the silver screen. Morrison will also write the screenplay for the film.

Happy! follows the story of Nick Sax, a corrupt cop who moonlights as a hitman. After a contract leaves Sax badly injured, Sax is able to see an optimistic blue horse named Happy, with whom he teams up to help save the life of a troubled youth.

RZA, Hudlin and Morrison have yet to find a financial backer for the project yet.
