50 Cent & Fat Joe Confirmed To Share Stage At BET Hip Hop Awards

It looks like 50 Cent and Fat Joe may put aside their issues temporarily at the upcoming 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards. A recent report from Complex indicates that the long-time foes may possibly share the stage at the award show for a tribute to the late Chris Lighty.

Although details about the tribute have yet to be officially confirmed, sources report that Fif and Joey Crack may be sharing the stage to pay tribute to the legendary manager at the award show this October 9. Still, when asked about the validity of these rumors, BET’s Vice President of Communications Tracy McGraw refused to comment.

“That’s a good question. I think we’ll just go with ‘Could not confirm,'” McGraw said.

While the joint tribute from the G-Unit and Terror Squad leaders isn’t definite, performances from the likes of Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliott in honor of the Violator Management chief have already been planned.

DX will keep you updated as more information becomes available.

    1. 50 seems to be the one who would have a problem with this, maybe try and sneak in a diss if they were on stage. It only makes sense for them to perform separately. This way the tribute is sincere.

    2. These 2 Are Grown Ass Men and It Wouldn’t Be A Good Look To Rehash Old Shit At A Inapproiate Time. Fat Joe Stop Caring About The Beef A Long Time However 50 Always Try To Say Something About Joe When He Can. Time To Move On.

    3. This would be a Great Look for HipHop headin into 2013, I doubt it will happen but would love to see it, put an end to all the BS politics going on in HipHop and bring the real back into the light

    4. YO CHRIS LIGHTY HEAD LOOKS LIKE A LIGHT BULB..I HEARD HE WAS FRANK OCEANS LOVER..WOW HOW THESE FAGS IN HIP HOP ARE DROPPING SMFH

    5. “So Denzel Washington not an actor huh?”

Funny stuff there. Who has 50 ever beat down? Slappin Young Buck don’t count cause Buck begged him to do it.

    6. Their Beef is minute – compared to the effect CL had on their careers, NO CL, NO 50 or Joe, straight like that. I’m sure if their both on Stage for the cause, at the end of the day, Fif will take some sort of shot at Joe, or compromise his comfortability in the same building, trust me. Fif is a character, he will say Joe wanted to enter through a different entrance to avoid him or some shit.

    7. of course they are more mature now and not gonna fucking go crazy , they are paying tribute to chris lighty , wtf is wrong with you people

    8. Good for hip hop. I prefer fat joe shaking hands with 50 than lil Wayne. Lol. Joe is a legend part of the legendary ditc. Had classic music in the 90s. 50 cent was an up and coming star in the late 90s. These two should be making that new York music instead of that down south techno shit.

      1. Two words…Ja Rule. 50 killing Ja’s career practically killed Joe’s too. A decade long beef can’t be explained one comment. HIt up youtube and start browsing.

      2. it doesn’t take that long. Ja Rule made a song “New York” that had some subliminal shots at 50, Fat Joe and Jadakiss were also on the song, so 50 pretty much thought that they were siding with Ja Rule, and that’s why he started dissing Jadakiss and Fat Joe; except he and Jada squashed their beef and collaborated a few times, 50 still kept going at Fat Joe for his terrible album sales/mixtape downloads.

    9. of course he’s shaking hands now. first khaled, now joe. back in 2003, 50 was anti-social to the entire industry. if you wasn’t g-unit, aftermath or shady then FUCK YOU. now that his music career is on life support hes gotta collab with random r&b artists because radio won’t dare play any of his solo records after that kanye beef.

      1. your an idiot….50 stays on forbes list every year he doesnt need to make music anymore so he doesnt have to collab with anyone. they were both part of the violator camp so they had a mutual friend past and to do something for that person is kool even if it means putting their differences aside temporarily.

    10. This is what real grown ups do. These are men, both around 40 years of age, they don’t give a fuck about this ‘media hyped’ hip-hop beef. Crazy how some of yall still say “G-unot” and “black wallstreet” that shit is so dead, all this beef is almost a decade old, nobody gives a fuck

    11. this is the proof that NYC rappers are more intelligent and better than southern rappers. example rozay an jeezy fighting while NYC rappers make peace.
