Despite Curren$y and Damon Dash making amends, it looks like their history at DD172 is still making waves in the legal world. According to a recent report from AllHipHop, Dame Dash is suing his lawyer over a botched record deal that resulted in Spitta and other artists leaving his label.

Dash is suing lawyer Janis Shen for failing to complete the proper paperwork for an orally-stated record contract with Curren$y. The deal would have required Curren$y to release three albums under Dame’s BluRoc imprint – two Pilot Talk LPs and Muscle Car Chronicles – but the botched contract allowed the New Orleans rapper to jump ship to his current home Warner Music Group with his albums in tow.

According to the suit, the failed contract also lost Dash a distribution deal between BluRoc and Island/Def Jam, as well as rapper Stalley, who later singed with Maybach Music Group.

Dash is seeking $5 million as well as lawyer fees in the suit. DX will keep you updated.
