Azealia Banks Pulls New Single After Producer Denies Permission

Despite scoring some major accolades with her recent Fantasea mixtape, it looks like all is not right in the world of Azealia Banks. Now, in a recent report from Fact Magazine, it looks like the next single from her aforementioned tape had to be pulled earlier today over a dispute with her producer.

According to the report, Banks had used a 2010 production from DJ/producer Munchi on her recent project, and was preparing to release the track – titled “Esta Noche” – as her next single. According to Munchi, however, Banks and company went forward with utilizing the song in a commercial capacity without ever seeking his consent.

Munchi took to Twitter earlier to blast the Harlem rapper, calling her “a spoiled brat” and refusing her management team’s $25,000 offer for the rights to his production.

No stranger to Twitter herself, Banks responded with a few barbs of her own at Munchi’s eexpense and announced her intentions to continue with filming a video for the single.

      1. actually this “random DJ nobody” has been on the forefront as a an international pioneer in EDM for a couple years now. where u at punk?

      2. You haven’t heard of him because you’re obviously not into moonbahton or trap etc..if you were you’d definitely know who Munchi is.

      3. wow, keep listening to Lil Wayne, cause you dont know shit about Electronic Music, everyone out there wants to make music with Munchi, from Skrillex to Diplo they drop his beats at concerts all the time, i bet all you know about is all that comes out of YOUNG MONEY RECORDS.

    1. Dude is a fool. You have virtually no name and they offered you $25,000 and then $50,000? Wow dude. She is not that big where you are going to make a ton of money off her. Most unknown producers get offered 10% of that.

      1. I mean you probably dont listen to EDM but if you did you would know that Munchi isnt a no name and that his original version of esta noche has been smashing clubs raves and festivals for the past couple of years now. and that he his one of the better more respected producers in EDM right now. its just plain explotation that rappers have been trying to pull on EDM producers for the past couple of years now since the EDM explosion but EDM producers arent having it.

      1. I’m guessing he’s writing that as a title and when you see a title of a song that is written correctly the “a” in “and” isn’t capitalized except if it’s the first word.

    2. I’m excited for the day Azealia Banks disappears from the scene. She’s in the news more for being a bitch than making good music.

      Her shit sucks anyways.

      1. She’s defiantly overrated. Its just unfortunate there hasn’t been any quality female african american musicians to come out in the last 5 years besides Janelle Mone. The only ones that come to mind have been doing it for at least 15 years. I’d love to be proven wrong

    3. There absolutely has got to be a personal issue here. Because like someone said, she isn’t anywhere – just above a nobody and she is trying to give you $50,000 for something you’ve already done, 2 years ago! WTF?

      1. Look up the word integrity. One person involved in this article has it. Sometimes its about respect more than it is about money to people.

    4. she trying to kiss up to kanye in hopes of getting a track from yeezyy……..lol……yeezyy charges $250,000 per track.

      1. Nobody in the music game nowadays can charge 250 thou a track you fuckin liar.!
Back in the day only David Foster & Timbaland only make that kind of money of one track.! Kanye charges about 50-70 K a track..

      2. Bwahahahahaha “Kanye charges about 50-70 K a track” really? Danja has said publicly that he charges $50,000-100,000 a track, so what do you think somebody like Kanye gets? $250,000 sounds about right I mean look at who’s getting beats of Ye right now. Only people that are close to him so they get a discount.

    5. Believe it or not, this chick is huge in europe. As far as that illuminati ish goes i think thats BS.

That 1991 tune was big here in the u.k but i didnt know it was Azealia Banks until she dissed Jim Jones.

    6. damn, munchi a fool for this lol i woulda taken the 50k fo damn sho… he won’t come too far w/ this kinda business mind.

    7. This twitter shit is real gay!!….homie’s career will die slow…nobody wants to work with niggas acting like bitches over twitter…leave that Bullshit to the chicks!!!
