A$AP Rocky is embarking on his 47-stop “LongLiveA$AP” tour, which will occur in just 60 days.

In an interview with CBS Local, the Harlem rapper explained why he loves touring. “I love the crowd,” said Rocky. “That’s what gets me going. That’s where I get all the energy from. I just have to get them in tune with what I’m doing.”

“I grew up with Asian friends, black friends, white friends and Latin friends,” added Rocky. “It’s not one ethnic crowd. I am talking to an era, a generation. I am not just talking to one class of people.”

Additionally, A$AP discussed why, during the opening of the VMA Awards, he reached for and grabbed Rihanna’s behind during the duo’s performance of “Cockiness (Love It).” “It really wasn’t no idea,” admitted the rapper. “It just happened.”

“I thought it was just one of those moments,” he said. “I didn’t know everyone was really talking about it.”

The “LongLiveA$AP” tour began on Friday (September 21), with its next stop on Saturday (September 22) in Burlington, Vermont.
