I’m sure some of you may remember about a year and a half back when HHDX reported about a rapper named Big Lurch being arrested for killing and eating a women. This June, Antron Singleton, aka Big Lurch, was convicted of murder and aggravated mayhem. On Friday his sentence was handed out, and he is going to prison for the rest of his life.
In April 2002 Lurch Singleton was charged with the murder of Tynisha Ysais, 21, who was found in her apartment with her chest torn apart. Lurch, who was found wondering the street with blood all over his face, chest and hands, was found with portions of Ysais’ lung inside of him.
Singleton plead not guilty on the grounds of insanity, as he had been under the influence of PCP. Thomas Moore, Ysais’ boyfriend, testified that he and Singleton spent the evening smoking PCP. The courts ruled that this was not enough to render him insane and excuse his behaviour.
