During an interview with DJ Slab 1 of Q93 New Orleans, former Cash Money artist B.G. came across as being quite reflective as he spoke on his upcoming, 14-year prison sentence. The rapper even went on to speak directly to the youth as he warned them against making the mistakes he made in his life, mistakes he says he wish he could take back.
“Stay in school…Listen to your mama and your daddy. Don’t make the same mistakes that I did,” B.G. explained. “Cause it’s a lot of things I wish I could take back and wish I could do different, but I ain’t able to do that. I put myself in this situation. There’s a lot of kids that look up to me and a lot of fans that I let down, but I ain’t perfect. I make mistakes and it ain’t worth it at the end of the day.”
B.G.’s mellow tone continued in the interview as he accepted full responsibility for the crime that will soon put him in prison.
“I got 14 years. I gotta do 11 off of that…At the end of the day I possessed the firearm and I was a convicted felon,” said the rapper. “I shouldn’t have had a firearm. I had a firearm, I can’t take that back. I took my licks and I gotta do my bid. At the end of the day you gotta live with the decisions you make in life. I made my bed, I gotta lay in it.”
On Wednesday, July 18 the rapper was sentenced to 14 years in prison for gun possession and witness tampering charges that were brought about following a 2009 traffic stop.

LIIIIIIIFE is a trip man. it’s always your choice. i hope the time goes fast for this man and that the kids who look up to him internalize what he’s saying..
we luv you bg
Damn bro!! That’s bananas. 11 years in the pen. No bueno dog.
so he accepts the time, but his homies are still wearing shirts that say free bg.. hahah.
Thats a hood thing like when someone dies they wear shirts RIP so so and when someone gets locked up they always say Free so so regargless of the crime. I guess it makes them feel cool
Hope he dies.
Listening to this, you start to realize he sounds like the stereotype characters depicted in Hollywood Shuffle. He’s right, it isn’t worth it but he sounds like that pimp character Robert Townsend reeled against portraying in Hollywood Shuffle. Life isn’t a movie though, it’s real deal and saying it’s a movie is still giving kids a false representation of what life is really like. Ain’t nothing in life like a movie, life is a whole lot harder.
Wow man, 14 years is a LONG time, it’s crazy to think I’ll be 32 when this guys getting out..
crazy if he does the whole bid il be 41 ……..god damn
bg and ti same crime one gets 14 yrs the other gets 14 months…wtf?
money makes it all go round
Keep yo head up !

He got three years knocked off? He must have promised the warden sexual favors.
It’s called time off for good behavior, but you’re too busy having male sex fantasies to know that.
^^^^ hahahaha
That’s what he gets for his unrepentant act of disloyalty towards Birdman. When Wayne is President Carter (YM Democrat), he will enact a law that makes it a felony to criticize YMCMB. Then all of you will be in jail.
stupid
Fk you are a tool
One of the biggest losers on this site of losers
When did the Barbz start commenting on Hip Hop sites? Nicki, come get yo hoe.
if there real down to earth theyll bail him out der half way billionaires. if they dont there RATS
B.G. disrespected Birdman, Slim and Lil Wayne over nothing. He deserves life in prison for biting the hand that fed him.
stupid azz
You deserve a tongue kiss from Baby for being a YMCMB Cyber Ryder for them.

The Heart of the Streets!
All you ppl that dnt know shit talking wack about he did this YMCMB u sukers need give up. A dude is going to prison for 14 years!!! on a stupid gun charge but he really got done for is witness tampering cause the feds do not mess about when it comes to that situation espacially on a convicted felon.
Cash money tour made 10 mill – he got a check for $300,000 – thats row! B,G and Juvie will never go back to him cause they know what type of shit he do and he calls everyone family the only one eating is Birdman – the rest aint getting shit of what they are suppose to!
are you retarded? the young money tour made $10 mil right? think about the line up that was there. weezy, drake, nicki minaj draw the main crowds as they are who everyone wants to see. then you have your expenses. trust me it isnt cheap to run a national tour of that size. $300000 for an act that draws nothing compared to the above crowd is pretty good.
WOW, WORTHLESS, AMERICA GAVE HIM THE OPPURTUNITY TO MAKE A LIVING OF WORDS AND MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS, AND THE MAN DOES IDIOTIC ACTIONS TO GET 14 YEARS IN PRISON, NO SYMPATHY TO THE PEOPLE THAT HE IMMIDIATELY AFFECTS SUCH AS HIS FAMILY. CARRYING A WEAPON TO FEEL BETTER ABOUT HIMSELF AND CARRY ON THE BLACK RAPPER STEREOTYPE, WHEN NO ONE EVEN TRIED TO STEAL FROM HIM OR HURT HIM. THE NEW ISNT “BG SHOOTS SOMEONE IN SELF DEFESENSE” IN REALITY HES AND IDIOT, AND SO IS ANYONE THAT DOES WHAT HE DOES, WORTHLESS, WAY TO PROGRESS HOOD PEOPLE.
co sign
BG is simply a paranoic idiot
I love when you Hollister shoppin suburban nerds try to speak on urban culture. You tourists just sound like old white women.
@614 – you act like BG, who’s been in the game making money for nearly 20 years, is still living in the projects.
You act like a convicted felon doesn’t know the fucking gun laws.
Funny how the man that just got locked up admitted he fucked up, but you can’t seem to.
@fuck outta here
If you have been “in the game, making money for 20 years” why would you still live in the projects? why would you put yourself in a position where you HAVE to carry a gun around with you, all the while knowing that if you get caught you are looking at serious jail time. doesnt sound smart to me…
He said the feds wanted some information from him and he ddnt give it to them. I respect that but that was part of the reason they went hard on him like that. Also he was a convicted felon so yeah that played on it too. I don’t know if he knew how much time he could get for getting caught with a gun but in general a person should be aware of the consequences of their actions judicially when you’re a convicted felon possessing a firearm.
what rhymes with dumb motherfucker?
ya’ll are forgetting the WITNESS TAMPERING, which is serious biz
“Cash money tour made 10 mill – he got a check for $300,000”
That’s not chump change.
“It’s called time off for good behavior”
Good behavior? lol For what, baking the judge some crack cookies? Oh, and I spoke with your Dad, and he confirmed everyone’s suspicions that you’re gay. Guess that explains the Frank Ocean poster you have up in your room.
