Rap Release Dates: Lupe Fiasco, Yelawolf, RZA, Pusha T

After the news from last week that G.O.O.D. Music’s Cruel Summer has been delayed until September, the album pushback news has remained silent for the most part. That’s good news, considering it means most of the upcoming projects on the horizon will see the light of day. Pusha T will most definitely be on the aforementioned compilation, but he has his own solo project coming soon. He just previewed the cut “40 Acres” and said the LP will be inspired by the film “Devil’s Advocate.” In other film news, RZA is making his directorial debut with “The Man With the Iron Fists.” As if that’s not exciting enough, he’ll be bringing in some big names for the soundtrack, including Kanye West and Wiz Khalifa.

If you’re waiting for Yelawolf to bring a sequel to Radioactive, you won’t be waiting too much longer. Yela finished his Psycho White EP with Travis Barker and is looking to drop Love Story in 2013 – believe it or not, that’s right around the corner. Lastly, as Lupe Fiasco gears for his September 25th release of Food & Liquor 2, he says the second disc off that project will be “experimental.” The project is a double-disc, so if you’re not into “experimenting,” you’ll always have the first disc to fall back on.

      1. they only show the release dates when the date is confirmed by a label not by when a rapper says its going to come out

    1. Slaughterhouse – welcome to: Our House
Excited to see what the album is going to sound like on their Shady dbut seriously think it’s going to be a Hardcore Hip Hop album despite what these bloggers have being saying in light of the singles, the reason Eminem signed them is because of what they do when they spit and as Em is going to produce on the album I hope it’s some 00-03 Em production.

Blu and Exile – Give Me My Flowers While I Can Still Smell Them
No need to really explain Blu & Exile make magic when they get together I expect some soul Hip Hop. God underground hip hop is so much better than mainstream right now…

      T.I. – Trouble Man
Wonder how Tip is going with this album because I haven’t heard anything commercial come from the album, hope it’s going to have the sonic sound of King (My Favourite T.I. Album) but I haven’t heard anything to really get me excited for the project, still it’s Tip.

      G.O.O.D. Music – Cruel Summer
I would love this to have a old school Kanye soul sound all over it but from the songs I’ve heard form it so far sounds like a new Kanye sound on it which is cool hopefully it’s more My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy than Watch The Throne.

Lupe Fiasco – Food & Liquor 2: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1
From the 2 singles I’ve heard it sounds more like the first 2 albums Lupe dropped, sonically not on a MC stand point because from that point Lupe has always delivered. Hopefully the album will have a lot of Soundtrakk production on it because they have really good chemistry together.

Kendrick Lamar – Good Kid, m.A.A.d City
From the first 2 singles I’m expecting a very good album, I’m glad he’s said the sound is going to be different form Section.80 not because I didn’t think it was a dope album in fact it was my favourite Hip Hop album of 2011 but so he’s fans don’t try and pigeon hold him in to one sound.

Big Boi – Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors
After Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty (My 2nd favourite mainstream album of 2010) I think this album will be dope as fuck as well I think Big Boi gets overlooked a lot, expected when your rhyming partner is Andre 3000 but with both of he’s album (Yes I know Speakerboxx want a solo project but it was a Big Boi album) he’s proved he can do more than just hold his own solo.
