It’s been twenty years since the 1992 United States men’s Olympic basketball team, affectionately titled “the Dream Team,” rocked the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. Now, with basketball fans and sneakerheads gearing up for for this year’s Olympic games in London, Stalley joins forces with Nike for a new jacket commemorating the Dream Team.
The Maybach Music Group rapper recently appeared in an online ad for Nike Sportswears’ new Dream Team Destroyer jacket. Stalley appears alongside cartoon versions of Dream Team alum David Robinson, Charles Barkley and Scottie Pippen and 2012 USA team members LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Kobe Bryant discussing the ’92 team’s legacy in the present day.
“What we wear makes a statement; it says who we are, where we’ve been, what made us that way,” Stalley recites in the ad. “It’s a story that doesn’t start with us. Some of it we pick up along the way, some we seek out, and some of it, well, we have no idea.”
