It’s easier this week to discuss who wasn’t Nas or Frank Ocean on our Top Singles list. With Channel Orange releasing early, and Life Is Good arriving shortly, the tracks did their rounds, made their way to our site, and you listening. Nas and Frank Ocean collectively hit seven out of ten slots on our list this week. The remaining three? Pusha T and Kanye West’s “New God Flow,” in at #4, CyHi The Prynce’s “100 Bottles” with Big Sean and Chris Brown at #6, and closing the list at #10 was Wiz Khalifa and Busta Rhymes’ new track “Different Cloth.”

Nas’ Producer Pool Includes Salaam Remi, No I.D., “40” and J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League

Nas’Life Is Good leaks hit a record high this week, and they all found their way to our list. You know the songs, you have your opinions on them, but an important point to note is the A-list roster of producers present on the project. At #1, we get Salaam Remi and Noah “40” Shebib on “Bye Baby.” Salaam shows up again at #7 on “Cherry Wine” with the late Amy Winehouse. Then he arrives one more time at #9 on the Rick Ross-assisted “Accident Murderers,” sharing the production with No I.D. Speaking of No I.D., he also appears at #8 on “Loco-Motive” with Large Professor. Finally, at #2 we have J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League on “No Introduction.”

Frank Ocean Pulls Andre 3000 Out Of Retirement, Gets An Earl Sweatshirt Verse

All Frank Ocean controversy aside, Channel Orange is an album that has fans talking. Relating it to Hip Hop, Ocean grabbed some good Rap talent on this one, two of whom show up on our list. For one, Frank has Andre 3000 on the #3 track this week, “Pink Matter.” It’s hard to get 3000 to come out of hiding (and Gillette commercials) most days, let alone have him rock on your song. Frank did it though. He also got one of the first Earl Sweatshirt verses since he escaped boarding school (the first being on Odd Future’s “Oldie”) on his #5 track “Super Rich Kids.”
