Three new albums shook up the charts, including a new #1. Chris Brown’s fifth album Fortunearrived at the top of the charts, his second straight work to do so in as many years. The RCA Records release includes emcees Nas, Big Sean and Wiz Khalifa. At #14, Flo Rida’s fourth solo album Wild Ones debuted on the charts after two years of chart-topping singles from the Atlantic Records release. Prodigy’s fifth album outside of his Mobb Deep work also debuted, just outside the Top 100. This is the Queens, New York emcee’s first solo release in almost four years. Older 2012 releases from B.o.B. and Big K.R.I.T. gained some strong ground in rankings and sales this week.

#1 Is Chris Brown’s Fortune

Selling approximately 135,000 units, Chris Brown’s Fortune is the #1 album in the country this week. The Virginia Pop/R&B singer’s fifth album includes Hip Hop guests, along with production by The Runners, Tha Bizness, Polow Da Don and Drake affiliate Boi-1da. The latest single is “Don’t Wake Me Up.” This Brown’s second #1 in his career, following 2011’s F.A.M.E.

Prodigy’s H.N.I.C. Trilogy Still In Demand

Mobb Deep’s Prodigy released his third volume of the H.N.I.C. (Head Nigga In Charge)series. This one released on the emcee’s own Infamous imprint, featured T.I., Wiz Khalifa and Mobb partner Havoc. With 2000’s major label-backed debut scoring a Top 20 debut, H.N.I.C. 3 is P’s lowest performance of the trio, selling just under 4,000 units at #105. Production on H.N.I.C. 3 was handled by Alchemist, Sid Roams and Ty Fyffe.
