Detroit, Michigan producer/drummer Karriem Riggins has announced plans to release his solo debut album, Alone Together on October 23. Riggins recorded the album while living in Los Angeles, California, nearby to the label, Stones Throw Records. Previously, Riggins worked with then-Stones Throw artist Madlib on 2007 album, Yesterdays Universe.
Alone Together is a 34-track instrumental Hip Hop project, from the label who has released similar projects from Madlib, J Dilla and others.
In addition to numerous studio and touring work in Jazz, R&B and Rock, Karriem Riggins has worked on Hip Hop albums including Common’s One Day It’ll All Make Sense, Jay Dee’s Welcome To Detroit and Common’sBe.
