Brother Ali Arrested For Protesting At Occupy Homes MN Rally

Brother Ali was arrested Thursday evening at an Occupy Homes MN rally in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

According to CBS Minnesota, the rapper was one of 13 reportedly arrested at the Cruz family’s home in south Minneapolis. He was pinched on charges of trespassing and refusing to depart. Four hours after his arrest, Ali posted the $50 bail and left the Hennepin County Jail.

The Cruz home went into foreclosure in 2011 after PNC Bank didn’t accept an online mortgage payment, and instead punished the family by imposing a fine of two months payment. They were unable to pay, and the home went into foreclosure. The court ordered authorities to evict the home on April 26th, but protesters have continued to tie themselves to the home during each attempt.

Ali is due in court on July 5th.

      1. @BLACK, I hope your heart arrests and you die you from trap muzik overload. You and your weak mind don’t deserve to populate space on this planet or the internet if you think Ali is wack. Why even read the article?

God forbid a hip hop artist gets arrested for doing something positive like protesting for a struggling family and not drugs, guns, and violence. This culture and artform does not have room for people like you black. Move along son.

      4. True shit. Only causes most rappers get behind is “free (insert guilty nigga)”. Ali was fighting to help a family in need. Only cause anyone else cares about is wearing T-shirts supporting people who are actually guilty of heinous crimes like murder, selling drugs to their own people, rape.

    1. Props Brother Ali, you stood for a cause that so many of us go thru. You won’t see any of these mainstream faggots do these kinds of things. Stay up bro.
