Last year, Nicki Minaj visited Chicago’s Collins Academy High School to act as the principal for a day as a part of the school’s Get MotivatED Challenge. Now, it looks like Big Sean will be doing the same thing fora school from his hometown Detroit this year.
According to a recent report from AllHipHop, the G.O.O.D. Music will standing in for the principle at Lincoln High School this Monday May 14 as a part of their “Get Schooled” program. Sean’s visit is a reward for the student body, who managed to boost class attendance ratings by 8.56% this year.
“Showing up to school, all day, every day, is one of the most important things students can do to reach their educational goals and to go on to success later in life,” said Sean. “I am so proud of my hometown of Detroit for tackling attendance issues head on and I am so excited to celebrate the achievements of the students who worked so hard throughout the attendance challenge.”
Big Sean will also be attending a student assembly hosted by MTV’s Sway Calloway and local radio personality Coco from FM 98 WJLB.
