There are about three weeks left in May, before the June releases get ready to heat the summer up. That doesn’t mean May doesn’t have some fire of its own. This week we get the Killer Mike and El-P collaborative album R.A.P. Music and a week later El-P drops his Cancer For Cure. This week Strange Music’s Krizz Kaliko comes with Kickin & Screamin, as Tech N9ne has already appeared on a few cuts: “Kill Shit,”“Hello Walls,” and “Can’t Be the Only One.” May closes with a J. Dilla posthumous release of Rebirth of Detroit a week before June begins on May 25th.

June was already hot, with Big K.R.I.T. finally delivering Live From the Underground on June 5th. We mentioned in past weeks that Cam’Ron was getting ready for More Gunz, Less Buttah and now we know Vado is tacked onto the bill. That’s also slated for June 5th, along with Curren$y’sThe Stoned Immaculate. We also reported that A$AP Rocky’s boy Spaceghostpurrp was getting ready to drop an album. Purrp will also be touring to support it, and the official title is Mysterious Phonk: The Chronicles of Spaceghostpurrp and the release date is June 12th. There’s some competition there though, as Purrp shares that release date with Waka Flocka Flame and Slaughterhouse.

Finally, J. Cole revealed in an interview with Bootleg Kev that he and Kendrick Lamar are about five songs into a joint album together. While there were rumblings of a joint mixtape in the past, this time it sounds like a full album is in the works. We’ll just have to wait and see.
