Hangar 18's dj paWL Producing "Adult Rappers" Documentary Via Kickstarter

One of the founding members of onetime Def Jux Records group Hangar 18 and producer for Cage, Aesop Rock and others, dj paWL (a/k/a Paul Iannacchino, Jr.) is currently trying to produce a feature-length documentary film, Adult Rappers. The Kickstarter.com-funded project presently features interview from Slug, Masta Ace and J-Zone, among others.

The film explores emcees from various sects and backgrounds within Hip Hop discussing the challenges of earning a livelihood through the music and culture. The film explores how one grows up in Hip Hop, and rappers facing the prospect of getting alternate jobs to support their performing career.

So far, the film has reached nearly $5,000 of its $10,000 goal, with less than a week left until fundraising deadline.
