This week was proof that a heavy cosign can make a song go a long way (we’ll explain in a moment). It was all about collaborations on this list, with the exception of a few. That’s beauty of artists working together: they attract multiple fan bases with just one song. You’ll also notice some songs re-entering the list this week, so DX listeners couldn’t get enough of some songs. Here’s to some awesome replay value for some of the tracks this week. Hopefully new entries this week will get that same level of treatment from fans in the weeks to come.

Chief Keef Is the Man Of the Moment, Brings Kanye West With Him

So this is the rapper that Birdman is dying to sign. Chief Keef popped up and made quite the impact over the last week or so. While we await whether or not he’ll be adding YMCMB to his resume, he takes the lead this week. The remix for “I Don’t Like” had some A-List talent on it including Kanye West, Pusha T, Jadakiss and Big Sean. Minus Kiss and Keef, this looks like one big G.O.O.D. Friday track right? Not exactly, but it had people super excited. Perhaps it was just Mr. West being in the building, who closed out the list at #10 with “Theraflu.” That’s a re-entry for ya. So Kanye topped the list this week and closed the list. Very nice.

Nas and Kendrick Lamar Return For Seconds, So Does Taylor Swift

Speaking of repeats, Nas came back with “Daughters” at #3 this week, only losing to 2 Chainz and Drake at #2 with “No Lie.” No surprise there. What’s something of a surprise his how Kendrick Lamar and Dr. Dre still maintain on this list with “The Recipe.” This week it weighed in at #9. Another shocking return? B.o.B.’s song “Both Of Us” with Taylor Swift at #4. Now that Bobby Ray’s Strange Clouds album is out, maybe people were anxious to hear his song again with Swift Dogg? At #5, Slaughterhouse came through with Cee-Lo on the assist for “My Life.” Then 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg and Precious Paris got the #6 spot with “Remain Calm.” Under that? Big K.R.I.T.’s “Heard It All” at #7, and the Usher / Rick Ross collab “Lemme See” at #8. Let’s see who stays for next week.
