Rap Release Dates: Eminem, Spaceghostpurrp, Cam’ron, Pastor Troy

We’ve said it a million times; album dates continue losing to mixtape releases. It’s not the worst thing in the world if music is still dropping, but it certainly messes with our calendars. Everything is still locked in place for May, with Hieroglyphics’ Casual adding in his He Still Think He Raw on May 22nd. As June comes, we see A$AP Rocky’s favorite Spaceghostpurrp coming with Chronicles of Spaceghostpurrp dropping June 12th. A week later, Pastor Troy drops Outlaw on June 19th. He shares that date with Del Tha Funkee Homosapien and Parallel Thought’s Attractive Sin.

The most interesting information comes for Eminem fans. While Em doesn’t have an official release per se, an import called Curtain Call: Hits will be dropping June 26th. Who wouldn’t want an album of Eminem hits, right? Em shares that date with DMX’s Undisputed and La Coka Nostra’s Masters Of the Dark Arts. Rewind some to the beginning of June, as Cam’ron’s More Gunz Less Buttah is still showing a release date of June 5th, along with a ton of other releases. There’s a lot to look forward to this summer.

    1. its just an eminem hits album big deal but of course websites like this use it to get hits by listing it as a major release.

      1. Why should Chris brown or Ashanti’s album releases be on a page titled “rap release dates”? Neither of them fit into that genre of music

        IDIOT

      2. ^ did you actually read the article? he’s correcting the outdated dates that hiphopdx had for those artists. IDIOT

    2. French= Gold
      Cam’ron= Gold
      Wiz Khalifa= Platinum
      50 Cents= Platinum
      DMX= Platinum
      Eminem= 5x Platinum

      1. French= Gold (you wish)
        Cam’ron= Gold (in your dreams)
Wiz Khalifa= Platinum (now ur just fucking around)
50 Cent= Platinum (are you crazy?)
DMX= Platinum (its obvious that you’ve lost your damn mind)
Eminem= 5x Platinum (the only accurate thing in this post)

      2. Em’s gonna sell 5 million copies of a hits album that came out like 7 years ago? Good luck with that. DMX album is gonna be fuckin awesome but it won’t sell. Put me down for one copy though.

      3. More like
        French – 80-110k
        Cam’Ron – 50-75k
        Wiz – 550-700k
        50 – 350-550k
        DMX – 40-80k
Eminem – doesn’t count as Curtain Call has been out forever

    3. I wouldnt want an Eminem hits album because I have the actual cd’s.

Also, I knew they weren’t going to put Deltron Event 2 on this, coming out in July.

      1. Kid Koala said the release date as July 21 and Dan the Automator said this summer.

It also makes sense as a marketing standpoint for Del because if that Parallel Thought CD is dope it will roll right into Deltron Event 2

      1. Nah he’s right all of these is pure garbage none of them is actually worth waiting for.

      2. Then get the fuck off of a Hip-Hop site you fool. If you’re not anticipating Big K.R.I.T., you’re not a real fan of hip-hop.

      3. chino xl, nas, big K.R.I.T? Oh wait you probably just bandwagon jump on the fuck new rap I love tupac’s balls in my mouth

    4. DX..on some real shit

      PLEASE

      GET

      NEW

      STAFF

That eminem cd was released in 2005!! What is this fuckery?!! What is up with this site these past 3 years? MY GOD

    5. haha you trolls trying to predict the first week sales. hahahahaa….. NUMBERS DONT JUSTIFY QUALITY. NOT IN HIPHOP. I aint mad at the sell out rappers tho. they cakin. record companies dont give a fuck about hiphop. they wanna make sure their artis cater to the skinny jean wearin, rainbow colored wearin, nerd glasses, pants saggin, swaaaaag sayin, fitted cap rokin, pussy ass bustas now a days. hiphop is weak. kendrick lamar absoul schoolboy q and asap rocky are the only hope we have. bringin that gangsta shit.

    6. how come dx id the only site in the worrld reporting this alleged eminem release thar is 7 years old. im starting to think dx is a site by trolls for trolls

    7. SMFH @ HHDX for using some random import re-issue of an old ass album as an attention-grabbing headline. Real journalism here.

      1. nigga quit your bellyaching. people still lookin forward to it(because it’s eminem), therefore it counts

    8. I’m guessing they’re gonna add some of his recent hits like “Love The Way You Lie,” Not Afraid”, and maybe “Beautiful.” Don’t get why they are doing this, but if they add some new Eminem songs then I’ll be curious to hear it

    9. umm…is this the same Curtain Call Hits Eminem already released back in 2005?

when they put Eminem’s image on their it had me thinking he was putting something new out

    10. Damn Eminem dropping some shit the same day DMX drops his. X is gonna diss the shit out of him for that.

    11. “whats the joke?”

The album doesn’t have a title. Not sure why that’s funny, but maybe the poster was pointing out how Fif is always saying he’s recording new music, but never seems to have any concrete details. It’s always coming soon.
