Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s Coachella performance on Sunday (April 15) turned heads when a hologram of the late Tupac Shakur performed alongside the West Coast legends, doing renditions of “Hail Mary” and “2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted.”

The Wall Street Journalreports that representatives for both Snoop and Dre will discuss logistics for a tour involving the partners-in-rhyme and Pac.

The proposed tour could involve other artists such as Eminem, 50 Cent, and Wiz Khalifa, or could just feature Dre and Snoop as headliners.

“This is just the beginning,” said Ed Ulbrich, the chief creative officer for Digital Domain Media Group, Inc., the company responsible for bringing Pac to “life” onstage. “Dre has a massive vision for this.”

Dr. Dre and his production team approached Digital Domain a year ago to see whether it was possible to create a hologram of Tupac like the one that performed on Sunday. The company began working on the Coachella performance four months ago.

“To create a completely synthetic human being is the most complicated thing that can be done,” said Ulbrich.
