Wiz Khalifa has finally announced a release date for O.N.I.F.C. and that date is August 28th. What a way to close out the summer. While The Game hasn’t given a solid date for F.I.V.E. yet, we do know the executive producers are Cool & Dre and the recently announced DJ Khaled. Looks like Charles Louboutin is going hard for his fifth album. Freddie Gibbs is all over the place these days, and while his album needs a release date, it does have a title: The Neck Tie Party.
As we’ve said many times before, it’s hard to keep track of what’s an “album” and what’s a “mixtape” these days. Take Azealia Banks’1991 EP. With no pre-order info, this may drop today as a mixtape. Who really knows. That same sentiment is shared with A$AP Mob, whose debut album Last Cab 2 Harlem is scheduled to drop in May. Whether that’s a free album or for retail remains to be seen. It’s all so confusing, but as long as the music is coming, we can’t really complain.
