Upon the release of G.O.O.D. Music’s “Mercy” single, the track’s producer, Lifted, is speaking about how he connected with Kanye West and more. Lifted spoke with Bootleg Kev soon after the release and said that he hopes to land more beats on the finalized version of the G.O.O.D. Music compilation album.

According to this interview, Lifted is now an official member of the G.O.O.D. Music family of producers. He noted that he linked up with Kanye West through “connections.”

“My manager had a relationship with Kanye and he played the music. It went from there,” he explained. “We started building and hopefully I’ve got a couple of joints coming out on this G.O.O.D. Music project in addition to the ‘Mercy’ joint.”

When asked about his favorite verse, Lifted couldn’t give an answer. He acknowledged that he’s only recently heard it and that he needs to time to sit on the question.

“That’s a tough one. I’ve got to sit on it. I’m just hearing it like you’re hearing it,” he noted of the 2 Chainz, Big Sean, Kanye West and Pusha T verses. “I’ll give you an answer next time.”

He did, however, touch on his experience with G.O.O.D. Music. He explained that working with others within the G.O.O.D. team has allowed him to improve.
