ScHoolboy Q and the rest of the Black Hippy crew chopped it up with Beats TV about a gang of topics including their shared fan bases and wanting to attain the same level of success as Maybach Music Group and Young Money. But during the conversation, Q turned his attention to his exclusion from this year’s XXL Magazine Freshman cover, which featured Machine Gun Kelly, French Montana, Hopsin, Iggy Azalea and more. Q says that he’s got love for the magazine, but that he is far too advance to even be featured on a Freshman cover.

“Ain’t no shot, but ain’t none of them niggas sold more records than me,” he said. “I don’t feel like I’m a freshman, on some real shit. Jay Rock did it, Kendrick did it and it’s cool. That was good. It’s just kind of corny for me to do it. I love XXL, I look at that shit all the time. But I would love to see a Black Hippy cover.”
