Tomorrow is April Fools’ Day, but the list this week is no joke. After a few weeks of back and forth – with artists winning big with freestyles rather than actual tracks – this week showed an insane amount of promise for what’s to come over the next few weeks/months into the summer. There’s a lot going on in the Top Singles List this week. Some surprises (check the #10 song), and others were surefire wins. But as artists like Tyga and J.Cole were mainstays on the list over the past few weeks, they’re now gone and a new series of tracks are about to circulate. Take a look.

Nicki Minaj Is the Champion, So Are Nas and Lil Wayne

Nicki MInaj’sPink Friday 2: Roman Reloaded is about to hit the streets on April 3rd. As the tracks started leaking, the obvious win was Nicki paired with Drake, Young Jeezy, and Nas on the cut “Champion.” That one reached the #1 spot this week by a landslide. The Nickster shows up again at #2 alongside Chris Brown, Lil Wayne and Rick Ross on the DJ Khaled track “Take It To the Head.” While she was enjoying some double face time on the list, so were Nas and Lil Wayne. Mr. Jones got on the top track, but his own cut “The Don” still sticks to the list at #5. Weezy made it to #2 and then showed up again at #3 on the Mac Miller cut “The Question.” Speaking of Mac Miller…he too made it with two tracks of his own, as his track with Kendrick Lamar and Iman Omari, “Fight the Feeling,” snuck in at #9. That’s a well-rounded winners’ circle.

Eminem Raps and Produces, AZ Returns

Ain’t no fun if Shady can’t have none. As Eminem helped out Obie Trice on the track “Richard” for a few weeks now, he still shows up with track at #6. Then, as a total surprise, Em produced a track for Ca$his“You Think That I’m Crazy” and even that came in at #4 on the list. Meek Mill checked in at #7 with “I’m Rollin.”Dreamchasers 2 is coming soon. Then at #8 Ace Hood got Game with “Different People” just as Salvation arrived. In more surprising news, AZ closed the list out this week with “My N**gas.” With Doe or Die II coming more sooner than later, it sounds like AZ fans are really awaiting this project. Hopefully it gets here, but with a new single out, that’s promising.
