With no new releases charting, the last week was defined by critical gains from 2011 releases and a few departures from last week. Too Short and Ja Rule both left the Top 200, while Maino hung on in the final three places. The most exciting news came out the Young Money camp, who watched some powerful gains and very nearly three Top 10 placements.

Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV Climbs Back Into The Top 10

Lil Wayne’s 2011 album, Tha Carter IV, made a giant leap in the last week. After 28 weeks on the chart the YMCMB release skyrocketed back into the Top 10, at #7 – climbing 21 overall spots. A double-platinum effort already, the last studio album from Lil Weezy joined Young Money band-mates Drake and Tyga, who all appeared within six spots of each other. C4 features appearances by Nas, Andre 3000 and Tech N9ne.
