During a recent session of a U-Stream chat, Obie Trice was able to address several topics. The Detroit emcee announced that his new mixtape Watch the Chrome would be coming out soon. He also shared his top 5 favorite albums and discussed newer emcees. 

Watch the Chrome coming out Monday,” he shared. “Shout out to everybody who supports Bottom’s Up. The album’s coming out April 3. I just saw the first draft of the video. The video is funny, it’s good. I do me, do it like I do it. That’s what it is, man.” 

Other than that, Obie also said his list of top 5 favorite albums consists of Redman’s Whut Thee Album,Nas’ Illmatic, Eminem’s Marshall Mathers LP, Beanie Sigel’s The Truth and Jay-Z’s The Blueprint.

Moreover, the former Shady Records emcee said that he appreciates the work of several newer emcees. When asked about each, he shared complimentary words for Meek Mill, Kendrick Lamar, Yelawolf and J. Cole, among others.
