Lil B And David Banner Squash Beef Over “Swag”

When David Banner dropped his critically acclaimed single “Swag,” the rapper ruffled more than few emcees’ feathers over the song’s content. One such artists was Lil B, who took offense to Banner’s condemnation of his favorite word and released a response titled “I Own Swag.”

It appears that any ill feelings between the two artists may have quickly dissipated, however. The Based God took to Twitter today to inform his fans that he and Banner chopped it up about the issue and that the two came to an understanding over the two songs in question.

    1. whackest beef ever? can we even call it a beef? since when was banner relevant? since when does hip hop care about the other confused bisexual skitzo?

      1. Really???? David Banner not relevant???? Go back and do some homework. Banner is the truth and is spitting the truth. Listen to his music before you say he’s not relevant. Just because he’s not on wack ass radio does not mean he’s not relevant.

    2. Word up. I’m glad Based God accepted David Banner’s apology, I’m sure B didn’t want to have to ether his wack ass. Let this be a lesson to all these old ass rappers.

    3. Banner is scoring major movies and creating soundtracks for 300-500k… has to look at this lil piece of shit like what the fuck.

    4. dude……who gives a flying FUCK about lil b. This is HIPHOPdx.com. not fucking, typical-fucking-nigga-saying-SWAG-on-the-track.com/WHACKASSFUCKINGNIGGAS!!!!! I hate these dudes with a fucking passion of the christ.

    5. Swagger today is near enough synonymous with stupidity. These niggas make it cool to be slow on the mic, wear tight jeans, wear corny glasses, to beef relentlessly with other artists, sound uneducated and still classify that behaviour as having swag. I’m just glad that I grew up on artists that laughed at that shit in the 90s…

    6. Will Lil B’s next tweet read:
FINALLY WORKED OUT THE CAPS LOCK KEY. Thanks to @therealbanner for pointing that out. Back to sucking his cock…

    7. Lil b is a troll, I still have yet to listen to one song from this faggot, well I started listening to a few but had to turn them off midway because of the Gow awful flow, but still, the point remains is this homo is more famous for annoying people then his actual music that nobody cares about

    8. OMG THIS IS RARE AND LEGENDARY, LIL B THE BASED GOD AND DAVID BANNER SQUASH EPIC BEEF OMG THANK YOU BASED GOD #TYBG SWAG

    9. 2012 swag I agree with you. And v-nasty Wtf you talking about banners a hell of a lot better than lil b and both those of wack ass Bitches. This swag shit its what’s killing rap. It’s just an excuse for being wack.

      1. Exactly, it’s one of the reasons why rappers feel they have to copy that perception of what swagger is to make it thus it becomes a vicious cycle of the same repeated bullshit messages and over explored topics of money, hoes, bitches. Copycat ass niggas that can’t think for themselves.

    10. Like game said:LIL B or what the fuck this lame is called is actually one of the wackest rappers of all time !!!!

    11. Lil B is not on some Andy Kaufman shit. At all. Anyone who thinks Brandon McCartney is a troll/character actor is as unintellegent as he is.

Don’t get me wrong I wish it was true, but it just isn’t. It’s like when Friday by Rebecca Black hit youtube, I was praying that it was a piece of really well made satire, that would have been amazing, unfortunately it wasn’t, it’s unintentionally funny however.

Some people may feel Lil B’s music is unintentionally funny. To me it’s just bad. His followers are missing something in their brains which allows them to differentiate between talented and untalented rap, it’s not their fault, they genuinely believe what they’re hearing is great music, kind of like ICP fans.

I’m sorry but claiming Lil B is trolling the industry is just wishful thinking.
