Just weeks after signing French Montana to Bad Boy Records, label founder Sean “Diddy” Combs revealed that the historic imprint has another new artist.
“It’s time for a whole new generation; it’s time for a whole new movement. So we got [Machine Gun Kelly], French Montana, Red Café; we got Cassie. We also have a new artist named Los that we signed. It’s official,” Diddy told MTV’s Sway Calloway. “We’re trying to put that young, youthful energy out in the air and do it the only way that Bad Boy [Records] can do it.”
Los, a Baltimore, Maryland native, has released several street-acclaimed mixtapes in recent years, including Shooter, The Crown Ain’t Safe 
and Worth The Wait. He has worked with the likes of Cory Gunz, DJ Drama and Raheem DeVaughn.
In 2010, Los told HipHopDX, “Baltimore is a rough place, and its depiction is reality,” rapper Los told DX. “In my opinion, it hasn’t been displayed totally, it could be a lot worse. People who live in Baltimore learn to survive, because everyday your fighting for your life and well being.”

He was signed, then dropped from the label. His last few mixtapes have been straight fire. If Diddy is smart this time he will let him pursue a solo career. No one can match his lyrics, he invented the pattern rap which Jay-z stole in his verse on the track Mr. Nice Watch.
While I wont cosign on who stole what, I’m listening to “The crown ain’t safe” now and I can see similarities, no doubt.
But that said, I absolutely hate the new Jay. So I dont know how much of a compliment it is to have invented the style.

Although I don’t see why anyone would want to sign with Diddy, I’m just glad Los has a major record deal. We all know he deserves it. He SHOULD HAVE BEEN SIGNED in 2008 after his incomparable “A Milli” freestyle.
Los has desereved a deal for a couple years now. He signed w/Diddy b4 but it didnt turn out well so im kinda disappointed dat he wud sign w/him again..But hopefully, Diddy will let Los do his own thing the way he lets MGK do it. Los is 1of da best MC’s out right there, he’s a lyrical guy so idk bout his mainstream appeal but he’s ill.
