Birdman has announced the release of an upcoming album Like Father, Like Son 2: Tha Last Mob, set to release through Cash Money.

Though details on the album are scarce, Stunna took to Twitter to make the announcement of the project, which serves as the follow-up to 2006’s Like Father, Like Son, his collaborative LP with Lil Wayne.

The album has roots as far back as September 2010, where he said it would drop some time in 2011. But in April 2011, Baby gave an interview where he discussed the potential for the album sequel’s release, projecting that it would release in December 2011.

“We’re looking to do that in December some time, after we all drop our solos albums and go on tour,” explained Birdman. “We have a lot of songs we did before (Wayne) went (to jail), and we’ve been working since he came home. All we’ve got to do is pick. And Wayne likes to be fresh with our music, so we might wait… and just knock out 20 songs right quick and put those on the album.”
