Rihanna’s “Talk That Talk” Certified Gold

    Less than two months after bowing on the charts, Rihanna’s sixth album Talk That Talk has been certified gold for crossing the 500,000 threshold.

    According to the RIAA (via RR), the LP achieved certification for shipment on December 16th, though it sold 500,000 following this past sales week. On this week’s charts, the album sits at No. 9 with an additional 42,000 units moved, upping its overall tally to 514,000 copies sold.

    Talk That Talk was originally released on November 21st, debuting at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 with 197,000 copies sold.

    1. This chick’s just a tool. LA Reid and other music bosses just lock the best writers and producers in a dungeon for days, and let them out once they churned a hit for her. That’s why The Dream probably made more $$ off Umbrella than she did.
