Jay-Z’s legal troubles continue, as the Brooklyn emcee has been sued by the Workers Compensation Board of New York.
TMZ.com reports that the suit alleges that Jay failed to pay worker’s compensation insurance for three months in 2009.
The insurance, which was supposed to cover domestic employees in the emcee’s home, was allegedly properly paid after the three months.

The Workers Compensation Board sued Jay-Z for $18,000 in fines, though sources reportedly say that the figure is the result of a clerical error.

UPDATE: According to the NY Post, Jay-Z is off the hook for the $18,000 lawsuit filed over failed workers’ compensation payments.

oeAfter consulting with the employer(TM)s insurer, the board expects this matter to be resolved in the next few days, resulting in the judgment being vacated, said Brian Keegan, a spokesman for the New York State(TM)s Workers(TM) Compensation Board.
“There’s never been a missed payment,” added a source close to Hov.
