Even though record sales may at an all time low this year, showing only a 1% increase in total sales from last year, that may not be a problem for Young Jeezy. Sources indicate that the Atlanta-based Def Jam rapper is already projected to surpass 200,000 copies sold in its first week.

According to Hits Daily Double, Jeezy’s fourth album Thug Motivation 101: Hustlerz Ambition, which dropped earlier yesterday, is expected to sell between 200,000 and 250,000 in its first week based on first day retail sales. Jeezy’s last album The Recession debuted to similar sales when it dropped in 2008, selling close to 260,000 copies.

Young Jeezy wasn’t the only emcee to drop a highly anticipated project this week, however. Hits Daily Double also reports that Chi-Town rapper Common’s The Dreamer, The Believer is expected to sell between 55,000 and 65,000 copies in its first week.
