Big Sean Talks G.O.O.D. Music Album, Promises Common, Kanye West, Pusha T & More “Almost Done” Recording

During a recent interview, Big Sean discussed the creation of the G.O.O.D. Music album, his second solo project and his upcoming work with Nicki Minaj and Drake. Sean explained that the G.O.O.D. Music project is “almost done” and noted that his second solo effort will follow that disc’s release.

Explaining how the G.O.O.D. Music album came to be, Big Sean told Power 92 that he’s had the idea for some time.

“Kanye was like, ‘Yo, we got the illest people in the world on one label.’ I’ve been telling him, ‘We need to do a group thing, a group album.’ Since my album came out, since he just did Watch the Throne, he was like, ‘The next thing we should do is the G.O.O.D. Music album.’ So, we’re going to have singles. It’s going to be a real ass album. [The album will feature] me, Kanye, Common, Pusha T, John Legend, everybody…Cudi, everybody, man. It’s going to be nuts…It’s almost done. I ain’t done with my part though.”

Sean also acknowledged that this will set up his new solo effort, an album he feels will be better than his debut.

“The new one comes right after the G.O.O.D. Music album. That’s the set up for me, from that album to go right into the next album. I’m taking the next album, it’s going to be ten times better already. It’s going to be more introspective, it’s going to be more storytelling and it’s still going to have them bangers on there.”

Aside from appearing on an upcoming Wale single (according to Sean), he also confirmed that he has been working with Drake and Nicki Minaj on more music.

“Me and [Drake] got some new music coming soon,” he added. “I think I’ma do some more work with Nicki too.”

    1. “Since my album came out, sine he just did Watch the Throne. ”

DX is constantly being undermined by its incompetent writers

    2. How about CyHi? Who is more talented than everybody else on the label. A new shady album would be waaay doper though, agreed.
