T.I. Talks February Album Release, New Book

T.I. stopped into BET’s “106 & Park” yesterday (November 5) for the first time since being released from prison.

When Tip was asked about when fans could expect the next album, the Atlanta emcee replied, “I’m trying to have something as soon as February.”

T.I. also discussed his new book, Power & Beauty. “It’s a fictional novel. It’s about a couple teenagers thrust into a very adult situation after…tragedy strikes their home and their mother dies.”

“How they handle that and how they used that to motivate them and push them forward…the decisions they make, the paths that life leads them after that, that’s really what the book is about,” explained T.I.

    1. Its good to see rappers coming out with novels now, definitely highlights the creative ability that exists within them…

    2. February? i don’t understand how artists release singles months before actual release dates. the outcome usually results in the actual single being omitted from the album when it finally drops, people losing interest until then, or both. I just hope it drops then, if not before the month in question…

      1. He’s trying to avoid that redemption period by hopping on every hot track/remix that’s out, either forcefully or not. It’ll keep him buzzed. It’s funny, bc Lil Wayne used this technique. Not that im a fan of waynes, but it worked…

    3. Hi guys I wanted to let you all know that i will be busy fighting the dark hadou until March when we fight Tekken, so while you wait how about you play King of Fighters XIII on November 22 you won’t be disappointed.

    4. Cool to see him giving KRIT a mainstream boost also, even though I don’t think KRIT will ever be half as successful as T.I. on the mainstream level.

    5. That garbage stuff Drake just dropped making it easy for any mainstream rapper that talks about hard subject matters to sell a lot.

    6. Tip you certainly need more mixtape release like Wiz or Spitta!! It’s shame I find only little mistakes of u on Datpiff!

    7. February? yeah right thats like saying June for a rapper. lol March is the soonest anything ever drops in the music game.
