Big K.R.I.T. “Live From The Underground” Tracklist & Full Album Stream

Big K.R.I.T. was originally set to release his debut Live from the Underground on September 27th, but decided to push it back on his own terms. During an interview with WCGI’s DJ Moon Dawg (via FSD), the Def Jam signee revealed that the LP will arrive in January 2012 and that its delay was due to sample clearance issues.

Live from the Underground will drop 2012, first quarter, next January. It originally was supposed to come out September 27th. I pushed it back because of sample clearances. I realized I’ve given away a lot of free music. It’s cool to sample anything you want when it’s free. Retail? They’re not having that,” he said. “So reaching out to people as far as sample clearances. There’s one feature I had the opportunity to try to get on the album. It is going down and I will not say who it is. Nobody will figure this out anyways. It’s an amazing feature. It’s crazy. I produced a lot of the stuff.”

He also explained how his recent feature and production on T.I.’s “I’m Flexin’” came to be, stating that Tip reached out to him two days after he got out of prison.

“He reached out to my folks Sha Money just on the producer, beats. I was like, yeah man, I got two records. At the time, I was getting ready to go on the road, I was still working on my album, I hadn’t been producing much for other artists. I sent him two tracks, he picked ‘I’m Flexin.’ It had a vintage vibe and I think when he heard it, he knew exactly where I was trying to go with it as well. It just worked out.”

    1. ONE OF THE FEW ARTIST THATS GOT MY MONEY DAY ONE OF DA RELEASE SHIT I MIGHT GO CAMP IN FRONT OF BEST BUY AND BE THE FIRST ONE TO BUY IT WHEN IT HITS THE RACK BUT THEN PEOPLE MIGHT WONDER WHY IM THE ONLY ONE CAMPED BY THE DOOR IN A TENT SMOKING A BLUNT AND EATING BBQ OH WELL I GOT A RV THAT MIGHT WORK

    2. This dude gave away two cd’s that were better than every other nigga’s official shit. It’s been a long time since I’ve anticipated a cd release. KRIT has got me amped. Wayne, Jay & Ye, Ross, may sell more albums but their shits will not have our hearts like KRIT’s music. Stay country and humble, KRIT, and u will win for years to come.

      1. yea u right….his production skills and lyricism takes me back to vintage Outkast….if him and B.o.B ever grouped up..just imagine

      2. Him and Yela are the collabo I’m waiting on… Hope that shits for real. Everything they have done together so far is incredible. If he were to do a whole project, Yela is the only southern newcomer I think can carry a full album alongside KRIT, especially on his beats.

Wheres the KRIT/Kendrick collabo? It makes no sense that these two have yet to cross paths but those two tradin beats over a KRIT bang could be the illest summer joint join, ya dig? Someone put that together, pleaaaaase

    3. KRITs definitely got my support. Seems like a great guy and he produces some quality music, especially for a newcomer.

    4. I just saw him liv ein Mobile Al on Jan 14th. Awesome show. Worth way more than I paid. Aaaawww Sookie sookie Nah!

    5. I’m Buying. I ain’t bought a CD since Cuban Links Part 2. But K.R.I.T. is the real deal. Lets get it!

    6. Awwwww!!!!! love the art, still bugging out over 4eva & a Day. K.R.I.T. is anticipated. Kendrick,K.R.I.T.,eLZhi (not sure),Skyzoo… sounds like a good year for hip hop.

      1. Well KRIT and Kendrick are pretty anticipated albums. I feel like both of them will do decent numbers, especially Kendrick, I feel like he’s the next new comer to blow up big. And KRIT will have a decent buzz soon too Im sure. But for the last two….uhhhh…not so much. I doubt were gonna hear ppl getting hyped bout that new Elzhi or Skyzoo album…

    7. First off I’m from Detroit and listen to midwest music like Em, Royce, Obie, Tech N9ne, etc…But yo when I listen to Krit music, he really captures the atmosphere of the south and puts it into his music so well that he makes me feel like I came from the south. Kinda makes me wish I was born and raised in the south haha.

He’s so humble and passionate and does it for the art of hip-hop, not for the fame/money and that’s why he’s gonna have respect from real hip-hop fans and have longevity in the game. 90% of these other cats are running out of their 15 minutes soon.

      1. Co-sign 100 percent!! I’m from Cali but I feel like a know the South just from listening to K.R.I.T. and his music.

    8. K.R.I.T droppin June 5th and Slaughterhouse droppin June 12th.. yeah as far as Hip Hop goes I think those are the only albums that matter this summer.. oh and of course Nas.. and a big maybe 50 Cent (since he’s claiming he “really feels like this album is better than get rich”, we’ll see) but yeah gonna be a great summer Hip Hop can’t wait.

      1. dont forget flocka and hopefully lupe fiasco new yelawolf and Tyler the creator and j cole and a bunch of other people

    9. man that hot

got a chance to see the homie KRIT in GREENSBORO last weekend KRIT did his thang

KRIT is what the game is missing

    10. Just saw Krit open for J. Cole last nite, let me say right now…he shook the room up and put on a damn good show and played every one of his best songs. I damn thought my ears were gonna pop when “My sub” came on haha

      1. ^^.. I want to know where u live so I could come there to rape and kill everyone in ur family. U are such a big pansy ass faggot.

    11. its been awhile since i purchased a cd but i know for sure Im def buying this …damn you gotta support this man..REAL hip hop right here i still got R4,KWH,4eva and both last king mixtapes on my ipod and they still bang…Its a shame not too many people really know about him but they gone learn qwik

    12. NO DRAKE NO WAYNE NO TYGA? THIS SHIT IS GOING TO FLOP AND EVERYBODY BETTER SAY IT SINCE IT WILL SELL LESS THAN NICKI AND YALL SAID SHE FLOPPED STAY CONSISTENT. AND I FUCK WITH BIG KRIT HE IS JUST NOT ON THE YMCMB LEVEL. BUT HE IS COLD GOT NICE BEATS AND HE RAP ABOUT SOMETHING HOMETOWN IS A REAL NIGGA SONG BUT THIS ALBUM WIL FLOP

16 LETTERS YMCMB OVOXO MMG WTB

      1. As hip-hop fans, we dnt really care about sales from these good up-and-coming artists. We can worry about sales when u have already established ur self. Big Krit isnt established like Nicki so how much do u expect from him? He’s gettin no radio play and just start gettin some TV exposure…Not only did Nicki’s albulm flop but her new music was also bad. If Krit can drop some good quality rap music, I cud care less about his sales.

      2. K.R.I.T didnt sell out like a little faggot and put the Glee queers from Young Money on there so props to him

      3. Stupid ass nigga!!! Fuck Drake and fuck wayne. This album is going to be a classic without all the radio hype. Do you care about how much they ell or what is the quality of the music. I would rather him sell less than a mill but sounds like a classic. Big krit is going to do his thing and all the real fans have to go out and support him.

      1. maybe be more features than normal but these arent real cliche features and its nice to see K.R.I.T reach out to his southern rap and r&b folk too. Praying Man is gonna be classic

      2. I can tell these are real organic features..these ain’t ” I got to work with mc such and such cause he’s hot”. I mean damn he got BB KING…what rap nigga you know got a song with him?

    13. THIS ANT EVEN GOING TO DO TYGA NUMBERS AND THEY TOOK HIS SHIT OFF SALES YALL SAD THAT FLOPPED SO WHEN THE HOMIE BIG KRIT FLOPS WHAT YOU GOING TO SAY. AND LIKE I SIAD JOHN SHIPES AND KRIT THE HOMIS BUT IF ITS A FLOP YOU GOT TO SAY IT PEOPLE

16 LETTERS YMCMB OVOXO MMG WTB

      1. WHAT DETERMINES A FLOP THEN?
AND NO MUSIC IS NOT GOING TO DISAPPEAR YMCMB IS A MOVEMENT AND WE ARE NOT STOPPING

    14. im gonna buy the CD. he gave way too much free quality music. he deserves that 15$ without a doubt

    15. very nice tracklist and cool coverart. just wish he has a song with phonte cuz they were perfect on “life of kings”. Wither way I’m forsure picking this album up

    16. the word “classic” gets thrown around to much these days but I’ll be disappointed if this LP is anything but. K.R.I.T. is an amazing artist and I have very high expectations, but I’m sure he’ll reach them.

    17. its sad that one artist ft will lead me to not buy this album. i couldnt wait for this album and Krit deserves the money but i fuckin hate 2chainz so much that now i will no longer be copping this one. im disappointed in Krit.

      1. Suck a Dick Junior, This Shit is Gonna be fuckin Classic, Would You Expect anything less from Krit?

      2. And Btw…..Money On The Floor Feat. 8 Ball & MJG and 2 Chainz came out last september….its a fuckin dope track, but you wouldnt know because your an ignorant ass fool.

    19. To all the people complaining about the amount of features. I would have agreed with you 10 years ago but Hip Hop has changed, a debut album used to be the first thing you would ever here from an artist so it would make sense to have very few features to establish your own personality but nowadays (thanks to the internet) by the time an artist drops their debut chances are we will have heard a lot of music from them already. We must have heard at least 60 solo tracks from KRIT in the last 2 and a half years, we all know him very well by now. I personally just want dope music from this album and people like Bun B, Luda and B.B King are only gonna add to that experience.

    20. no features fr wayne ross eminem jeezy nas jayz kanye drake ?? ur album is flopping n will not sell

      1. Haha like Ross or Jeezy would increase the sales when niether of them can sell well anymore (and Ross never even did much numbers ever)
Plus this album would be better without those fools, the only great rappers there are Eminem and Jay-Z and they probably wouldn’t sound right over these kind of beats
Not to mention Jay fell off big time so

      1. ^^^Ignore the clown above me.

Skyzoo? Saigon? LMAO, those boring ass, monotone-rapping, no charisma-having rappers? GOOD ONE! Tell your boy Saigon to stick to his word, how he gonna diss Ross, then deny it, then have audio out confirming he dissed them. Thats why it took him years to put out GSNT, face it, him and sky are just mixtape rappers and that’s all it’s gonna be lol. Nothing wrong with that, but there’s a reason they are where there at.

On some real shit, Ab-Soul’s Control System is one of the best (if not THE best) released this year so far. And Krit is right up there with this debut.

      2. i really wish more people new about control system. def fav this year so far..my first listen i was an instant fan..been liking kendrick for a while but ab- soul is def T.D.E. secret weapon

      3. ment to say this album is dope aswell. atleats a 4.5..idk if its quite a classic but we will wee in time

    21. record label put a gun to his head to add 2chainz to his album….to continue the myth that 2chainz is “hot”

      1. Uh no, it was the first single, it was released in 2011, when 2 Chainz was starting to get some popularity, not in the middle of his popularity.

      1. ^^^^

When you use the word hater you expose yourself as a clown with no comeback

If I was a hater I wouldnt have took the time to listen, I hate YM, thats why I havent heard anything they’ve dropped since they were still Cash Money.

I like Krit, just not this album

Accept it, or kill yourself, I dont care which

    22. this album was wack, heard the whole thang, shiiiitt, T.I. no mercy album sounded betta than this shit, this shit is sad, all subwoofers and bass, no substance, country ass east coast rappers, generic ass shit, lackluster ass album, where the content at?? I Am Not a Human Being II comin soon niggas

      1. I was taking your comment serious till you said “I Am Not a Human Being II” KRIT is music where Wayne is just noise. Acknowledge the difference than your comments will provide value.

    23. A great mixtape and 2 classic mixtapes and yall are talking about not buying this album because you don’t like one or two features or a single or two? Since when are singles an accurate reflection of the album? Plus like I said he gave us 3 incredible free projects if this one isn’t that great we can still buy it, I mean I can’t imagine its going to be terrible…

    24. Based on first listen, I definitely think this is a dope album….And I plan to buy it next week for more listens….I hope the rest of y’all wanting “real hip-hop” do the same

      1. You shouldn’t be posting that shit man. Takin away from KRIT’s sales.

By the way, for anyone thinking of DLing this fucker’s link the quality must be shit because the zip’s only 60mgs. Shit man if you gonna pirate at least do that shit right. Keep it 320 foo.

    25. Listened once through it now. Couldn’t find a weak song. It got more variety than Krits previous album. There are some melancholic tracks, some catchy tracks…
His second album could get even better tho imo because he has to get used to producing beats himself instead of sampling first.

    26. I’m going to go ahead and purchase it when it comes out, just cuz I mess with KRIT so heavy and he has given me so much great music. However, I was not that impressed. Its not like his style, sound, or anything majorchanged. But it just wasn’t that good. Either the production was not as “polished” or it could be the fact that I have listened to so much KRIT in the last couple years that it sounds like “I have heard it before”. I think I see what people mean, when they say we live in a Hip Hop generation where so much music is given, that we play them out our ownself and then aren’t impressed with their first album because there is no anticipation.

    27. The album is good really. If you listen to it from start to finish it flows smooth. I would buy the album it’s worth it

    28. Carter 4 was wayyy harder than this shit, all i hear on this album its bass heavy pop ballads

    29. my roomate’s ex-wife makes $79/hr on the laptop. She has been out of a job for 9 months but last month her pay was $8641 just working on the laptop for a few hours. Go to this web site CashLazy.com

    31. based on a 2nd listen this is a sure buy for m im really happy how it came out, and he didnt sell out

    32. intro gave me chills. holy shit. im going to wait till i buy the album before i hear it for the first time. then im going to get hiiiiiiiigh and vibe out to this shit.

    33. this album go hard…if you don;t like this, then you don’t like hip hop….period. Niggaz been complaining about not getting some real shit …they get it…and complain about it..or not support it

    34. guys are going to be throwing 5 stars all around, but listening to the difference in quality between the last 4 songs and the rest of the album, you would have to give this 4/5 tops. If the album was on the level of those final tracks, it would be classic. KRIT has potential to create something pure, but I would like to hear less booty shaking

    35. KRIT cant come up with a decent hook to save himself, they are so annoying… Save your money and cop Life Is Good and Trouble Man instead.

      1. the hooks are actually pretty good but thats your opinion if theyre not, but i will be supporting this album like all people should, oh and fuck Trouble Man, no nigga is looking for that shit, T.I iis washed the fuck up. and before you bitch about hooks, your boy Nas has the worst hooks these days and beats.

      2. I agree about the comment about hooks. Rarely are KRIT’s hooks all that hot. I’d rather hear him experiment with other song forms actually. I got mad respect for him though. I bump his tape and I’m buying this fucking album.

    36. OMG!! Hell ya! I’ve been waiting for this since Return of 4eva! I originally wrote dude off as a Pimp C wannabe, but he became something of a UGK/OutKast throwback that’ll put Big Bois newest album in jeopardy for AOY.

    37. IF YOU SAY THE ALBUM IS CLASSIC AND YOU WERE NOT LET DOWN YOU ARE LYING TO YOURSELF. GO BUY IT ANYWAY FOR ALL THE MUSIC HE HAS GIVEN AWAY FOR FREE BUT THIS IS AN AVERAGE ALBUM

16 LETTERS YMCMB OVOXO MMG WTB

      1. if you type in all caps and talk shit about this excellent album you’re not supportive of real music and if YMCMB and OVOXO is what you’re into then you are a faggot who likes terrible music that appeals to little ass bitches. take your own life if you hate this album, plain and simple. fuck all you faggot hip hop fans

      2. GO SUCK AN INCREDIBLE DICK JUS LIKE THAT FAGGOT THAT CANT MAKE A DECENT DISS TRACK U FAKE ASS LIL CUNT..GO SUCK MOMMIES TIT SOME MORE I JUST BLEW A LOAD THERE U HOMO

      3. EVERYTHING YOU SAY IS IRRELEVANT. THIS WAS AN EXCELLENT ALBUM FROM KRIT. DEFINITELY WILL BE WORTH BUYING. I BET YOU DIDN’T EVEN LISTEN TO THE ALBUM; YOU JUST SKIM THROUGH IT LIKE SOME OF THESE FUCK NIGGAS. KILL YOURSELF.

      4. stop hatin’ for the sake of hating (talking to replies btw), this isn’t as good as the mixtapes – not even 4EvaNaDay. I know you guys love to hate yessir as much as he loves to dickride YMCMB, but he got a point and he’s right we should support KRIT cos he’s given us a shitload.

    38. man fuck all you fake hip hop fans, can’t even appreciate good ass music without bitching then say there isnt enough good music anymore, just admit it, none of you will ever be happy with the music, so just kill yourselves. K.R.I.T worked his ass off on an excellent and well crafted album and you all just like to bitch and moan that he didnt copy his mixtapes. this is why rap artists have such low longevity, the damn fans turn on them once they see a hint of success and dont stay rooted in the underground.

      1. This isn’t a Lil Wayne album. This is a Big KRIT album with quality music. Go listen to Soulja Boy, Gucci Mane and Waka Flocka.

      2. It’s recycled music with an average rapper

Are you high? This music is FAR from recycled and KRIT is FAR from average.

    39. Ehhhhh, KRIT didn’t meet my expectations but they were really high so that’s not dat big of a deal. Most of these hooks were straight garbage though. It really picked up at the end though. Only first listen.

      1. That’s what happens when u expect so out of a artist this is a classic southern hip hop album ,the songs are balance out

      2. I respectfully disagree, I think it’s just “good” not a classic. I feel all of his mixtapes were better in multiple ways, namely hooks subject matter and overall creativity. Beats are on point though.

    40. Gave the album a listen. One of the greatest hip-hop albums of 2012. There’s a balance between bangers and smooth shit. Lyrically and musically, it’s on point. Anyone who says its wack either has bad ears or didn’t even listen to the whole album. Regardless of how much it sells, the music quality beats most albums released this year.

    41. WELL IF IT DONT OUTSELL NICKI ALBUM ITS A FLOP SINCE YOU GUYS SAID SHE FLOPPED. IT WAS A CENT ALBUM 3.5 OUT OF 5 STARS. HE REALLY NEED TO WORK ON HIS HOOKS. I WISH HIM THE BEST HE WILL PROB DO FUTURE NUMBERS.

16 LETTERS YMCMB OVOXO MMG WTB

      1. WHO GIVES A FUCK ABOUT SALES BESIDES YOU? AS LONG AS THE MUSIC IS GOOD, IDGAF HOW MUCH KRIT SELLS. LIVE FROM THE UNDERGROUND IS A CLASSIC.

      2. AND WHO GIVES A FUCK ABOUT HOOKS? POP SONGS RELY ON HOOKS, NOT HIP-HOP. BESIDES, THE HOOKS ARE PRETTY GOOD.

      3. I don’t expect KRIT to do big numbers because he’s not a pop artist. Like @YESSIR said, as long as the music quality’s there, who cares about how much it sells?

    42. MODERN DAY CLASSIC THIS AINT. MODERN DAY CLASSIC IS WHAT THAT SKIRT WEARING NIGGA KANYE MADE (BUT LETS BE HONEST HE HAS GHOST PRODUCERS AND GHOST WRITERS). TAKE CARE IS CLASSIC TOO DRAKE ON HIS SHIT. BLACK ALBUM WAS CLASSIC THEN JAY FELL OFF. MISS EDUCATION OF LAUREN HILL WAS CLASSIC. FOOD A LIQUEUR WAS CLASSIC BUT FUCK LUPE. CARTER 2 WAS A CLASSIC THIS KRIT SHIT IS A 3.5

      1. NOT I MADE THE DAMN POST PEOPLE KNOW I GIVE PROPS TO ARTIST WHO DESERVE IT EVEN IF THE WEAR SKIRTS LIKE KANYE OR DONT HAVE SET WITH THEIR GIRL LIKE JAY

      2. Half of what you just said was true and everything else was bullshit

        MODERN DAY CLASSIC THIS AINT.
        -YES IT IS
MODERN DAY CLASSIC IS WHAT THAT SKIRT WEARING NIGGA KANYE MADE (BUT LETS BE HONEST HE HAS GHOST PRODUCERS AND GHOST WRITERS)
-KANYE DOES DROP CLASSICS, BUT HE DID NOT HAVE GHOST WRITERS/PRODUCERS. STOP BELIEVING EVERYTHING YOU HEAR ON GOSSIP SITES.

MISS EDUCATION OF LAUREN HILL WAS CLASSIC.

        -TRUE AND FUCK YOU TOO.
        CARTER 2 WAS A CLASSIC
-TRUE, BUT EVERYTHING WAYNE RELEASED AFTER THAT WAS TRASH
THIS KRIT SHIT IS A 3.5
-INCORRECT. THIS IS A 4.5 AT LEAST.

      3. WHAT YOU SAY IS IRRELEVANT. YOU JUST HATING ON EVERYONE THAT ISN’T ASSOCIATED WITH YMCMB OR MMG.

      4. THE WEAR SKIRTS LIKE KANYE
-AND LIL WAYNE WEARS JEGGINGS AND UGGS

DONT HAVE SET WITH THEIR GIRL LIKE JAY
-YOU OBVIOUSLY CAN’T SPELL. BESIDES, HOW WOULD YOU WHAT JAY AND BEYONCE DO IN THEIR PRIVATE TIME? DO YOU FOLLOW THEM EVERYWHERE THEY GO OR DO YOU BELIEVE EVERYTHING GOSSIP SITES SAY?

    43. This is that southern slang at it’s finest!!! To all you fuck nigga, just listen to that wack shit you like and we will BE BUMPING THIS KRIT ALL SUMMER LONG BITCH!!!!!!

    44. NIGGAS MAKING ALLKINDS OF EXCUSES.KRIT TRIED TO MAKE HITS HE JUST CANT. NIGGA HAS 2 CHAINS ON HIS ALBUM. NIGGA MAKING STRIP CLUB MUSIC, HE MADE THAT SONG “I GOT THIS HERE” HE NEEDS HELP. KRIT IS ALMOST THERE HE JUST NEEDS THAT FINAL PUSH. AND THIS SHIT IS NOT A CLASSIC ITS A AVERAGE ALBUM BUT NIGGAS IS HYPING IT.

      1. STFU. EVERYTHING YOU SAID IS A PILE OF SHIT. LIVE FROM THE UNDERGROUND IS A CLASSIC, NO MATTER HOW MUCH IT SELLS. THIS ISN’T SIMPLE YMCMB POP MUSIC. THIS IS GOOD, OLD-FASHIONED, RAW QUALITY SOUTHERN HIP-HOP MUSIC. STOP HATING ON A VERY TALENTED BROTHER.

      2. I’m pretty sure KRIT is doing all fine. He don’t care about album sales and hits; he cares about quality music. That’s something a YMCMB fan like you wouldn’t understand.

      3. Maybe because he wants people to hear good music instead of that Top 40 crap. Besides, every artist tells fans to cop their shit; its nothing new.

    45. I GAVE KRIT ALBUM A SECOND LISTEN. I FINALLYGET THE HYPE. THIS IS A CLASSIC; BETTER THAN ANYTHING OUT OF YMCMB. 5 STARS.

    46. chill niggas! chill! diz shit aint shit! real niggas iz bumpin Lil Wayne “Goulish” and Sasaraf… ya dig? fuck diz sell out Big KRIT. he just another generic rapper… diz nigga even doin Yoko Ono. pause! YMCMB we rund diz shit. we da only label makin money now ya dig?

      1. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!

    47. DAMN DRAKE SOLD 1,734,000 COPIES OF TAKE CARE SO FAR IN THE US?
DAMN WAYNE SOLD 3.5 MIL OF CARTER 4 WORLDWIDE? CANT CALL THOSE 2 ALBUMS FLOPS

      1. Who cares about album sales? MC Hammer, Vanilla Ice, Nelly, and Ja Rule sold a lot of albums, but are they good? No. Besides, C4 and Take Care sucked ass.

      2. Album sales do not equal quality music. Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga sell a lot of albums, yet their music sucks. You just got ethered and your only comeback is sales? WEAK!!

      3. REALLY WHO SAID THEY MUSIC IS NOT QUALITY? YOU DONT KNOW SHIT ABOUT ETHER. JAY Z WON NAS ENDED UP WORKING FOR HIM AND SUPER UGLY WAS BETTER ANYWAYS

      4. Nigga are you crazy? Majority of fans have said that Nas won. Both Jay and Nas are good rappers; Jay is better commercially and Nas is better lyrically.

      5. WHAT YOU FAIL TO REALIZE IS THAT JAY AND NAS ARE LEGENDS IN HIP-HOP. THEY BOTH LEFT LEGACIES. THEY’RE YOUR FAVORITE RAPPERS’ FAVORITE RAPPERS. ALSO, THEY PUT THAT BEEF SHIT BEHIND THEM.

      6. NO WHAT HAPPEN WAS JAY WON THEN NAS TOOK HIS L AND WENT TO WORK FOR JAY. JAY TALKED ABOUT FUCKING NAS BITCH AND LEAVING A CONDOM ON HIS CAR SEAT NAS AINT DO SHIT ABOUT THAT

      7. That’s where you’re wrong. Then Nas dropped Ether, one of the best diss tracks in hip-hop history. And Jay had nothing to say.

      8. Funny. This coming from someone who has no respect for hip-hop culture and it’s veterans. Foh. Also, that Jay response was weak.

      9. YOU LOOKING AT SALES. NAS WON LYRICALLY/BATTLING WISE JAY WON BUSINESS WISE. REAL HIP-HOP FANS DONT GIVE A FUCK ABOUT SALES OR BUSINESS ITS THE TALENT AND SKILL AND IN NAS VS JAY-Z NAS WON THE BATTLE.

    48. Anyone who uses sales/money/fame to defend their favorite artists has no other way to respond when someone dissed them.

    49. hooks are just awful ! it’s a shame because there are good music. Because of the hooks, I don’t think Imma pick the album

      1. @ ^^^^ : go fuck yourself ! I’m not retard, when hooks are annoying as fuck I won’t listen even though beats and lyrics are on point…I can’t skip choruses so I ain’t gonna listen to the whole song…as a matter of fact hooks are just horrible here
so if you can’t deal with it go fuck yourself dumb ass

      2. then don’t buy the album then, you sound like a child, bitching about hooks, that some teenager shit right there. the hooks aren’t even bad, and can be looked past if you have even above a 100 iq, which it seems you lack. us people who support real music will buy this excellent album, while a small minded simp like you can get the next Lil Wayne or Gucci Mane album.

    50. Lil Wayne and Drake are da best sellin rapperz of the decade. real niggaz is bumpin platinum albumz. “Goolish” iz da shit in da hood rite now. ya dig? Big KRIT aint shit. Lil Wayne rapz better, skate better, look better den diz fat ass nigga. swag

      1. Eminem and Jay-Z are the highest selling rappers of the decade, from album sales and tours and all that shit, first of all, Em made more sales with The Marshall Mathers LP in a couple months than both Drake’s albums and Wayne’s last couple combined, plus every single one of his albums have gone platinum and he’s pushing 40, same with Jay. Wayne and Drake are still young and already the smart people of this world are getting sick of them, noone credible is even looking for Wayne’s next wack album or Drake’s next vagina monolouges.

      2. As much as I hate wayne and drake..they are the highest selling THIS decade, which began just 2 years go mind you…Well except EM still doe…he’s still crushing them1 combined…but Jay only has the Throne this decade

    51. Big K.R.I.T. represents the south before “Trap Music”. The southern rap has alot of disappointment because its watered down with only lyrics of dope, hoes and jewelry. There is way more to the south than that and that is what he is about. Wayne is a POP artist. Wayne went to Cali saw skateboarding and now got yall FOLLOWERS wearing skinny jeans.

      1. what’s wrong wit Skinny Jeanz? i think itz much betta den baggy jeans, that shit is gay. swag

    52. Needs to do some work with Outkast. Krits beats are always great but he can ruin some songs with poor hooks, gettin better tho. Outkast always had brilliant hooks and i think could really lift a song into mainstream recognition.

      1. who the fuck cares about hooks, all you short attention span faggots only care about hooks, never listening to verses, just the hook, Illmatic had next to no hooks, hell when Nas had hooks they werent that good and noone says shit, Eminem had plenty of poor hooks on his best albums and noone says shit, K.R.I.T has perfectly fine hooks that arent pop and dont go for being catchy like everything else, but people always have to bitch and moan. but to each his own, just fucking sad people need hooks to like music. if i could mutilate all you faggots who trash good music like K.R.I.T’s i would, you all are garbage

      2. Get off your high horse bitch nigga. You’re one of those underground scrubs that revel in deep lyrics, but when there’s a song with above average lyrics and a popular catchy hook you guys won’t care either. Y’all either think that’s not possible or the lyrics aren’t all that because there’s popish melody in it, which makes you just as guilty for this short attention span bullshit. Either way, you obnoxious bitch niggas need to drop dead

    53. Hip Hop DX need Some form of MODS because it’s really ruining your credit as a magazine with idots like this

    54. AINT GONNA LIE YO NO HOMO BUT DRAKE AND WEEZY KINDA CUTE A LIL SOMETHIN SOMETHIN. THATS WHY I BE FEELIN THEM SO MUCH AND THEY SELL SO CRAZY RECORDS HOW COULD YOU NOT LIKE HOW THE RAP WIT DEM NUMBERS AND SHIT. MOST NIGGAS GOT LIKE 10 POSTERS OF WAYNE ON THEY WALL BUT I GOT ONLY ONE (YOUNG MONEY FOR LIFE BUT IT AINT THAT SERIOUS NIGGAS)

      1. YEA BRUH I LOVE THEM NIGGAS. ESPECIALLY DRAKE, I WOULD LET THAT NIGGA DO UNIMAGINABLE THINGS TO ME IN THE BEDROOM NIGGA, YALL CAN HATE, YALL BE LISTENING TO BIG KRITS FLOPPY CD WHILE ILL BE SUCKIN THE JUICES OFF OF HIS HEAD AND AFTERWARDS GET AN AUTOGRAPH

    55. well since this an article on Big K.R.I.T ill actually type something about the article. first impressions on the album, 5/5 imo, the whole album flows very well from the bangers and smooth track to the instrospective, but its not overloaded with either type, K.R.I.T actually sounds looser and more relaxed on some of the songs, sounded to me like he found his comfort zone. Hooks arent anything special, but to me this didnt matter, i could put any of the songs on and they just were so smooth with K.R.I.T’s voice and excellent beats. its not overloaded and sprawling like his first 2 free albums (classics by the way) and each song fits and has its own thing, no 2 tracks sound the same. only track id skip really is Yeah Dats Me, but even this track id play in the whip at least, i call that track K.R.I.T in a more aggresive playful mode. the first half of the album has more energetic tracks mixed with the smooth seductive tracks like Porchlight and My Sub Part 2. The last half has my now favorite song of the year, Praying Man, a stunning and powerful track with support from the legendary B.B. King. all in all, imo, K.R.I.T crafted an excellent debut album, well produced but not over produced, organic and never straying from his country roots, and finds K.R.I.T’s rapping improved greatly, not sounding like a younger Pimp C as much anymore but having his voice and style. the common complaint with people is that it supposedly doesnt live up to the standards of his previous mixtapes, and thats all relative and a matter of opinion. i myself judge works on their own merit and dont compare to past works, like how everyone compares every Nas album to Illmatic. I enjoyed this album very much and listened to it many times after the first, its consistent, it has some of the best beats today that dont cater to this garbage society of popular music today, and is an album i believe will stand the test of time, sure there arent any hits, but with todays standards of what a hit should be, this a good thing. again, i give this album a 5/5, and encourage people to buy this album and support good music and a hard working artist who unlike everyone else, cares about the music.

      1. Thank you sir for your honest review….I have listened to album and while I do think it has few flaws, I still give it a 4.5/5

    56. For all those who read below my comment please be warned…The trolls are out in droves! How did this turn into a discussion on young money and album sales? Instead of promoting your “favorite rappers” you are making everyone hate them. im especially talking to you YESSIR. you are a sad little guy. I have not even heard the album yet. Im waitin to buy it and support my boy Krit. real heads will do the same. I know it will be a great album. And all yall high and mighty listners who are cryin about the hooks can go suck a dick.

      1. YOU CANT SAY ITS GONNA BE A GREAT ALBUM IF YOU AINT HEARD IT YET , UNLESS ITS GOT MY NIGGAS DRAKE N WAYNE ON IT, YOUR A DICK RIDER #THUGNATION

      2. Wow! I got a reply from the king of all trolls! Should i be honored?…..i dont think so. Thank YESSIR once again for gracing the internet with pure stupidity.

      3. IF SOMEONE’S A DICKRIDER, IT’S YOU. BESIDES, LIVE FROM THE UNDERGROUND IS A CLASSIC ALBUM. EVERYTHING ABOUT IT IS CLASSIC.

    57. Feel dumb for worrying this album was bad. So far it’s on point and the shit we love. Not a big album buyer but I’m definitely considering buying this one.

    58. JUST LIKE ANY OTHER RAPPER WHEN IT’S THAT TIME TO RELEASE A PROJECT FOR RETAIL….

THE LIL’ CLOWNS START MAKING EXCUSES NOT TO BUY IT. SAME THING THEY DID WITH STALLEY. BUT WHEN THEM 2 RAPPERS DROP A FREE MIXTAPE THESE FCUKBOIS B 1ST IN LINE.

GO BACK TO THAT SAIGON ISSUE AND LOOK AT THE COMMENTS HERE AND TELL ME SAIGON AIN’T RIGHT. FCUK THE MESSENGER, LISTEN TO THE MESSAGE. THIS ARRAY OF COMMENTS IS PROOF.

DON’T FEED INTO THE FCUKBOI ANTICS. IF THIS WAS FREE, THERE WOULD BE LESS THAN 100 COMMENTS AND OVER A HUNDRED THOUSAND DOWNLOADS.

    59. man this album goes hard waiting for 6/5/12 buying two copies

i see them lames still on here

      1. ooh I’m sorry baby I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings let me come back and apologize I’ll satisfy you

    60. The album was pretty average, sadly. He should have saved songs like ‘Handwriting’ and ‘Boobie Miles’ for the album, not his mixtapes

    61. He gave yall 3 free incredible mixtapes and you are questioning whether or not to buy this album? C’mon now… Might as well show him some support.
I hope this does great numbers but I have a feeling its going to do more like Radioactive numbers..

    62. Based on what im hearing and the fact he gave us three classic (or damn near) albums that man deserves the purchase. and this shit is slammin and slappin’.

    63. An absolute masterpiece.10/10…K.R.I.T. you did my subwoofers a solid bro…only skipped thru Yeah dat me and I got this only for the simple fact that i heard them alreay…bout to put the 3 other mixtapes back on heavy roto…good to hear REAL hip-hop again
