Del Tha Funkee Homosapien Announces 20th Anniversary Tour Dates

    In October, 1991 Del Tha Funkee Homosapien (a/k/a Del) released I Wish My Brother George Was Here on Elektra Records. The Oakland, California-based cousin of Ice Cube would go on to release over a dozen albums, and found the iconic independent Hip Hop collective The Hieroglyphics, as well as notable work with acts like The Gorillaz, Dan The Automator and The Artifacts’ Tame One.

    To celebrate 20 years of releasing music, Del has announced a new 20th Anniversary Tour. He will be joined by Winstrong.

    The dates are as follows:

    9/11/2011 Sunday Abbey Theatre -Durango, CO
    9/13/2011 Tuesday Sunshine Theatre -Albuquerque, NM
    9/15/2011 Thursday The Green Room -Flagstaff, AZ
    9/16/2011 Friday Marquee Theatre -Phoenix AZ * (Free)
    9/17/2011 Saturday Club Congress -Tucson AZ

    Earlier this year, Del released album triple-pack The Golden Era on Funnyman Entertainment.

    1. That’s bullshit, 5 shows in 3 states that are all touching ain’t no tour. Come on Del, you can do it bigger than that.

      1. it’s because Del is HELLA lazy now dayz. He didn’t even show up to 10 year Hiero Anniversary tour few years back.

    2. Wow, Jake, it’s just Hieroglyphics, Artifacts, and Gorillaz. Not every group has a THE in front of their name.

    3. This is the 20th anniversary tour? More like the 4 corners mini tour. Come on Del, get Bukue to add a few more dates.

    4. Only way I’ll go out to see Del peform is if he’s performing with Hieroglyphics. His solo shows are hella boring.
