As J. Cole’s debut album Cole World: The Sideline Story approaches, the North Carolina emcee has revealed that he pictured a particular aesthetic for his newest video, “Work Out.”

“It’s funny, because we shot the video twice,” explained Cole in an interview with MTV’s Sucker Free. “It didn’t match. But the second one is perfect, just like Rucker park. It feels summertime, carefree. No worries. I feel like we really captured the spirit.”

“The concept is just fun. Summertime, color, fun, women! The girl in the video is ridiculous! …Her name is Bernice. She’s bad!”
