Mac Miller is prepping his debut album Blue Slide Park for a fall release, but the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania rapper already has dreams of performing at Madison Square Garden.
During a recent in-store signing session at Laced, in Boston, he told KarmaLoop TV that fans can expect the first, unnamed, video from his album to debut very shortly. “It’s just really visually insane and I hope everyone loves it as much as I do,” he said. “I hope everyone has as much fun watching it as I had making it.”
When questioned about his expectations following the album release, the Rostrum Records signee was pretty straightforward. “Madison Square Garden,” he replied immediately. “That would be tight wouldn’t it?”
“Wednesday we’re performing to a crowd of 25, 000, I heard, and now there’s 1,500 kids lined up down the street,” he continued. “It’s just so tight that it’s become such an undeniable thing, because people have been so reluctant to give me any credit for anything. They don’t want to be like ‘man, he just has the ill movement; he just works his ass off.’ They just think everything’s superficial, so now it’s at the point where you really can’t deny what we’ve created.”

In July, Mac Miller explained that he has refrained from collaborating with his label mate Wiz Khalifa, in an effort to find success on his own terms. Not much has changed since then. There is currently no release date set for Blue Slide Park.
