Last week’s major mixtape release came from Maybach Music Group’s own Meek Mill, as his long awaited “Dream Chasers” hit the streets. The DJ Drama hosted mix featured some cameos from members of MMG, including the big bossman Rick Ross on the mixtape track “Body Count” . Beanie Sigel appears on the title track produced by All-Star, along with Young Chris on “House Party” . Young Chris has an upcoming tape of his own with producer Cardiak.

This week (August 15th), Young Money’s most recent addition Bow Wow drops “Greenlight 4” as a precursor to his November 1st release of Underrated. The mix places Bow in the driver’s seat with only a few hard-hitting collaborations. The most recent leak, “Ima Stunt” features YMCMB’s boss Lil Wayne alongside Tity Boi (2 Chainz) and DJ Khaled. Bow Wow’s Doggfather Snoop shows up for “Come Smoke With Me” and last year’s Chris Brown-assisted “Ain’t Thinkin About You” is even featured despite a more recent leak “I’m Da Man” not appearing on “Greenlight 4”.

The ghosts of Kanye West’s past, GLC and Consequence both have mixtapes arriving, but only one has a definitive release date. GLC’s “I Know Who You Pimped Last Summer” also drops this week (August 17th), while Cons’ “Movies On Demand 3” still waits in the wings. In other mixtape limbo, new arrivals are set for Young Buck with “Bond Money”, Styles P’s “The World’s Most Hardest MC”, and Jeezy’s “The Real Is Back 2”. Other artists in the lab with mixtapes include Trey Songz, who recently released his version of Kreayshawn’s “Gucci Gucci” .

Finally, Cam’ron and Vado will drop “Boss Of All Bosses 3”. Once a regular mixtape release, the third part of the Boss Of All Bosses trilogy will arrive on October 5th as a retail mixtape. Why give it away when people will pay?
