Two Bay area Hip Hop legends engaged in a verbal altercation in the last day, online. San Francisco, California emcee Messy Marv called out neighboring Oakland icon Too $hort on Twitter last night for what is believed to be his lack of support for the emerging community in the area.

While the specifics are unknown, Marv included posts alleging that Too $hort could not possibly run the region as he had not been to jail. Marv also pointed out that the 29-year Rap veteran was 50 years old, before $hort countered that he was “out of the league” to Marv, and offered to meet the Fillmore District vet face-to-face in the city to continue the words.
